happen to me once...  i've call CS to waived that finance charge. The best part, i even got 10% cash rebate on interest. They waived the finance charge, but no reversal on 10% rebate given biggrin.gif

Why 10%?

Yes, I didn't know about this. laugh.gif
And I won't bother about this most of the time. laugh.gif
Kinda funny that it gives you 10% cash back for outstanding payment. laugh.gif

because they want to earn from the interest so encourage you not to pay full amount.
*
Anyway, it's OK for me, I don't want to earn their 10% cash back. sweat.gif

How about the CIMB Petronas Platinum MasterCard? CIMB offered me to this card but under the same sharing limit with my Cash Rebate Platinum MasterCard

Nothing interesting for this card... hmm.gif

Just want to update for the uber transaction, there is chances it will fall under retail. Bad luck for me I guess. =(
*
Well, based on other recent Uber and Grab transactions, it seems they no longer eligible for cash back. sad.gif

Does payment through Paypal incur 0.8% cross border charge?

I order toys online usually, and I thought this card can be good.
*
Should take UOB VOX instead. whistling.gif

Anyway, cross border charges only happen if it's an overseas gateway and charged in MYR.

I will try a couple of times again to get more accurate info. So far I only have one Uber transaction fall under retail. The description on the statement show UBER BV HELP.UBER.COMNL(Everything is cap letter), while my other transactions of uber showing Uber BV help.uber.comNL(small letter)entitled for rebate.

Let see the statement this month whether it will be same again.  smile.gif

Thank you for sharing. That sounds pleasing to keep the card. =)
I'm a person who does not want to carry much card. I want a card that is jack of all trades and I picked CIMB cash rebate card. Second option would be Citibank Cash Back card.
*
Well, if you want to pay bills, neither one of these cards is good.

Citibank CR is pretty useless, never thought of owning it at all. With AF and all.

Quite fast for your parents to receive the new PIN and PAY card.

Well, my card actually, they helped me to collect from hometown only.

If got chance to go overseas, then Citibank CC is not useless anymore.
*
Erm, not really I have been using my local CC in overseas, no issue at all. Not necessarily overseas banks will be better.

QUOTE(xixo_12 @ May 24 2016, 09:41 AM)

You need to activate the new card 60/90 days (I can't remembered) upon the card issuance; otherwise the current old card cannot be used.

To avoid future complication, I have activated mine and using the new card now. It comes with contactless function and PIN can be changed at CIMBClicks/ATM.
*
I'll activate mine once I get it from my parents this weekend. biggrin.gif

I think you need to wait for another 2 months based on the T&C:

The Reward will be credited into the Eligible Participants’ Participating CASA accounts, two (2) months after the six (6) consecutive months of salary payment received.
*
Yeah, that was I have seen in the T&C but WhiteLighter mentioned it is quite fast. laugh.gif

Does anyone know what's the difference between 'Statement' and 'Full' when paying your CIMB credit card on CIMB clicks?
*
Statement balance, you only need to pay this amount when due date. Full is everything, statement balance + current spending.
