Why don't you try to send via email? http://www.icbc.com.cn/ICBC/%e5%b9%bf%e5%9...6%92%ad_690_300

I just noticed it is giving free 2 years AF + RM 50 gift voucher if apply before 31st Jan, I think I can apply one as well. biggrin.gif

Edit: I just submitted mine through its online banking since I already have an existing account. tongue.gif Easy peasy. icon_idea.gif Too bad I don't have 100k p.a. yet, so cannot apply for its Plat to enjoy PPL. cry.gif I applied for ICBC UnionPay Dual Currency Credit Card Gold Card.

Let's see if my application will be approved. My first Union Pay credit card. biggrin.gif

intrepidity85, just checked online for my ICBC credit card status. Already got rejected. laugh.gif
Then asked me to contact the nearest branch or CS, so lazy, forget about it. tongue.gif Luckily I already have their Union Pay debit card. So, still OK. biggrin.gif

Edit: Didn't want to give up, called their main branch and luckily found a good credit card officer. biggrin.gif She helped me to check and apparently there is something wrong with their online system. doh.gif

She just asked me to fill in and will arrange someone in ICBC branch to collect the documents from me this Friday since I told her I can go on Friday. biggrin.gif
*
I see.. i post to my nearest branch via poslaju.. i paid only RM6 something for poslaju fees included parcel i bought from them

so this morning reach the branch and on the way for processing..

let's see how...

wish us both good luck rclxms.gif

Public Bank rejected my application for Islamic Plat and as usual no reason will be given. I asked if can appeal, he said no, the decision is final. I asked when can re-apply again, he said after 1 year. sleep.gif

No thanks. I hate PBB now. sleep.gif

Post here better.

My dispatch helped me to send over by hand to ICBC on Friday's lunch hour and within an hour, an officer called me already telling me I must collect my card from their branch, is that OK. Also asked me to send them bank statement to prove that my latest three months salary tally with the statement. sweat.gif

I screenshot and sent to him via email already. Very helpful guy. thumbup.gif

He said within 2 weeks will know, he will inform me accordingly. He gave me his mobile no. rclxms.gif
*

I wanted to post to office but he said if I can collect from their branch, I said OK since not too far from me. KL Sentral-KLCC.
I only gave 3 months payslip and NRIC earlier, since only these were requested then he called to ask me for bank statements to prove the salary crediting only.
*
one week passed for me.. hopefully next week will receive good answer from them

I was told bank charged them 2%-3% for using the cc terminal, if the item they sell very minimal margin and don't charge the 2% back to customer they'll lose money. I don't know it's true or not.
*
some merchant more ridiculous .. they charge customer like 6% telling them it's GST .. damn la this kind of shop

I am sure you'll get an answer from BNM

they charge the 6% with total amount which is quite hard

i will ask them to make a seperate receipt with 6% charge for cc which i doubt they will

Err, meaning that the price of the item excludes GST?

If the price already includes GST, another 6% would means that they are double collecting? laugh.gif

My case was they charged the extra 2% into the CC, but the tax invoice's different.
*
yes already include GST yet they say if u use credit card we will charge 6% .. if u use cash to pay.. then u dont have to pay for 6% cc charge..

any idea whats this all about?

ot a bit... recently i check the lowest price for 4k su hd tv 80" is rm24k and 70" is rm18k but cash only. if pay by cc or instalments need to add 3%-5% charge. big difference.
*
the merchant extra charges is ridiculous .. i feel like want to report those merchant to bank negara.. to many this kind of ppl ..

in these days who want to bring 10k or 20k cash in hand.. if like brunei or singapore ok la.. they have RM1000 1 piece very easy to bring without robbers put attention on u which is why we need cc

It's UnionPay. laugh.gif
Not yet, still in processing.
Hmm, I only plan to use it in China because I can pay in RMB using my ICBC savings account as it has RM and RMB. Most of the malls in Malaysia accept but I still prefer to use other non UnionPay cards. biggrin.gif
*
very slow processing from ICBC.. i was told they need to send all documents to shanghai for processing.. will get verification calls from shanghai instead of malaysia

i guess we need to report idiot and greedy merchant to BNM or the bank who issue the terminal to them

lately many merchant i go they will request 2% charges and 6% for GST terminal charges which add up 8% charges

damn .. out of 10 shop, 7 shops did this.. too rampant liao !!!

what they did was they took my final amount and multiplied by 0.02 which is equivalent to 2% and not 0.02% as they wrote at the cashier. i already suspected their mistake as nobody would charge 0.02% to customers as it's a very small amount which can be just absorbed by the merchant anyway.
*
let's report these unethical merchants to BNM
