don't blame PTPTN, you borrow from them, you pay them back. as simple as that. must well blame yourself why borrow money from them?

Do u even know my case? I was CCRIS-ed when I am studying. U expect a student who getting study loan to pay back at the same time?
*
simple, go to PTPTN, pay something first. then get a "loan restructuring letter" and apply for your credit card/loan.

you need to serve your car loan nicely as well. otherwise, you may be stuck during housing loan in future.

Haha you are correct on your guesses  laugh.gif I just leave the CL to the default lol. Need to reduce CL? Why?
*
as far as I know, high CL with low utilization is a plus point.

2 more questions here.

AA
If I cancel a CC, will that affect my CCRIS standing? That is, with all payments fully settled. Hope not, I have cancelled 3 CC so far.

BB
If I apply for a CC and it gets rejected (for whatever reason the bank deems not meeting), will that affect my CCRIS standing?

Thanks.
*
AA, you will have clean ccris now, which may not be good for loan application when you are too clean.

BB, your ccris will show "reject" once.

Interesting!

Why too clean is also no good?

Gee, CC rejection will also appear in CCRIS. Why? Say the bank rejected it due to insufficient infor or insufficient income (say RM5000/month applying for Infinite card), that will be taken as a negative in one's credit profile?
*
too clean is also no good because banks cant access your credit behavior/worthiness.

they won't reject your infinite card application and they will approve platinum/gold instead. so won't show cc reject in most cases.

Just curious.

Does outstanding PTPTN loan affects CC applications?

For housing loans, as long as you showed you paid the up to date amount, they usually close eyes already.

CC so particular in that sense? biggrin.gif

Nothing to do with the current issue I was curious about?

This one cakap only la.

If IRB wants to chase a person, they have the man and resources to do it without resorting to CCRIS.

Just wondering if the information from CTOS report is credible?
Recently I've submitted a few CC applications from different banks but all was being rejected. Later then, I found out there is a loan application in ctos report from Sc bank which I am not even aware of. Called to their cust service, they couldnt find any application in their system.
*
i suggest you to check your ccris as well. may be some body misuse your identity. better make a police report too.

Dear sifus, need you inputs here...
My statement balance is RM1,443.79
I paid RM1,433.79 before due date.
That's RM10 short to full payment. Error on my part.
To my horror, got interest charged of RM16.89  Failed to get waiver from the bank.

According to the bank, the interest is charged based on the statement amount, RM1,443.79 and from the date of the first transaction of that statement cycle.

Is that true? Anyone with similar experience?
*
did you swipe any thing after you have made your payment. as far as i'm concern, they will charge you interest for RM10 as outstanding amount plus all new transactions will be subject to interest immediately as well.
