Citibank also Tak boleh, tried before on Supp. Card... whistling.gif
*
tak boleh means, the form does not provide section to fill name on card, or there is such section but rejected? If rejected, means they automatically follow NRIC for you?

I don't think so... hmm.gif

The form got " Name on the Card" column , put in My 'Preferred Name" for the Card but It Came back with  Name  follow our NRIC

But however,  100% Confirm that,  we can have our "Preferred Name " on HSBC Card. nod.gif

A scenario as below:

Let's say annual fee is charged to my credit card on 20-Jan-2016.

I do not want to pay and let's say I terminate on 21-Jan-2016. No usage after AF is charged.

Q1: Do I need to ensure that there is no outstanding amount by 20-Jan-2016 so that I can terminate without paying the AF? Or I can settle any outstanding amount even after the AF is charged?

Q2: The 'no usage' after AF is charged refers to swipes only right? If a cashback is credited after the AF is charged, is that considered as usage?

Thank you

Im sure with with MBB..
But However others bank will,
i)They X allow u  to cancel your CC if got Outstanding balance in, They will make sure u clear all hutang before can procced to cancellation

ii) Auto debit (billing) also consider as an "usage" & I believe, once the CC have cancelled  u x get  any CB (even ) previous month CashBack.
So, Make sure inform the service provider of any auto billing early on change your CC
*
Your (i) is for Maybank? Yes, my question is for Maybank too laugh.gif

Meaning it is okay to have outstanding amount after they charged the AF, as long as I clear the outstanding before cancellation.

What if the AF is charged but I wait for the cashback to enter first before cancellation? Is that ok? Will they consider the cashback as 'usage'?

The date of AF charged and cash back credited in is just 3-4 days.

Sorry,Typo abit on my 1st reply...

Most of the Bank charge their AF not late than a month or on  the next statement

I x think CB is  an. "Usage" becos it's the bank who credit back to our account what that we earn...

thank you for this piece of info smile.gif

For this one time only, I am considering to delay the payment of my TNB bill to maximize my CB quota.

From TNB website:

QUOTE
1% Late Payment Penalty Charge

The penalty charge will be imposed if payment is made later than 30 days after the bill date

The amount is calculated based on 1% (simple interest) of the outstanding bill amount, multiplied by number of days outstanding.

For example: Total billed amount: RM1,000.00 Bill date: 1 May 2010 Date of payment: 10 June 2010

Days outstanding: 10 days Penalty charge: 1000 x 1% x 10/30 : RM3.33

The penalty is not high for 1-2 days delay. My question is, under what circumstances will TNB disconnect the supply?

Would like to seek opinion for those who holding Aeon Watami card, which of credit card will be use for normal spend once your Aeon Watami has spend max RM5k within quarter ??

Was thinking about HL Essential card since come with 0.6%, any other cards offer for 1% ?? hmm.gif
*
If my 3% quota is maxed and other cards will not get any rebates, I still use Watami for the points.

up to the bank to decide, normally it will be in the general tnc for each card
*
Thanks, found it under the general T&C:

14.7 VARIATION
The Cardmember agrees that Maybank shall be at liberty and reserves the right to vary, add to or amend the terms and conditions under this
Agreement or arrangements (including the privileges made available by Maybank in connection with the Credit Card whether such privileges are
set out herein or elsewhere) whenever Maybank deems necessary by giving Twenty One (21) calendar days prior notice before the implementation.

Go copy paste that clause, throw to BNM and ask them be Referee.

If you gather few heads and complaint, your Lounge access may be retained up to 1st of April 2016 laugh.gif

I am hoping for another card member to take the lead as I have 3 pending complaints with BNM, one of which concerning Maybank. Having said that, I have sent an email to Maybank about this too biggrin.gif

haih. I don't know if it's me or what.
I applied rhb, citibank. both got rejected.

requirements all passed.
maybe my record is too clean.
And when I asked the personal banker, she said "oh you need a cc to apply a cc."
How am I supposed to get a cc when all I've applied rejected my applications.

Any advice?

p/s: yes this is my first cc application.
*
from your description, most like your record is too clean. maybe apply from a bank where your salary is credited to?

yes thinking of that.
I went to maybank, they said only maybank acc holder can apply.
no choice but to go to cimb even though it's the least option.

nak hutang also susah. haha
*
if your salary is banked to cimb, then cimb CR card is a good starting card

yea. I already met the banker. she was surprisingly nice and helpful. She even mention it's a bit difficult to get cc nowadays.

no cooldown period for credit card? you can keep apply? i thought there's a cooldown period like 3-6 months then only you can start to apply back.
*
The cooling period is only if you are applying the same card

I can apply for clear card afterwards as its not the same card?

I am guessing it is possible...maybe if the income req for the second card is lower..logically

QUOTE(sukitena @ Feb 20 2016, 06:39 AM)
OK thanks very much. Like I said, I did not fill up any forms for 4 out of 6 of the banks. So I assume the officer filled it up for me, altho I don't know how would they put down the signature if I wasn't the one signing it up. Since I am on a long leave and have no printer/scanner at home, I had to go to the shop to print, and then to scan when the form is being signed (i.e. take effort to do) , so I am aware if I sign something or if I don't.
*
QUOTE(sukitena @ Feb 20 2016, 06:41 AM)
Thank you. Like I said I did not put down any signatures. Anyway, I was just curious.. it wasn't a hassle to cancel those credit cards, even though the officer of one of the banks keep luring me with many offers to entice me of not cancelling the card biggrin.gif
*
I would suggest you to file a complaint direct to Bank Negara. 4 banks doing this paint a very bad picture. If they can forge signatures for CC application, who knows what else they have been doing.
