Out of curiosity, if my monthly credit card payments is substantially a big portion of my income. Let's say at least 50% of my monthly income. Will it affect my credit rating? I pay on time though.

Sometimes I will pay on behalf for family or frens since I'm holding cash back card. So most of the expenses are not mine.
*
since you pay in full, should not affect anything
also it's not like you spend more than your income tongue.gif

Sounds like HLB Fortune will be a good option because I am interested in total expenditure annually.

Anyway, I have a question, my AMEX card from Maybankard  cards was charged for dinnger at a North Indian restaurant 5 days ago for RM 160. It's an UNAUTHORIZED transaction. So, what are my next steps? I called up CS and they happily blocked my card and transferred all my treatspoints to my Ikhwan card. And they asked me to print out the complaint form from maybank2u and email back to them for them to investigate. Investigation apparently takes maximum 45 days.
Be careful all!
*
physical swipe? you sure you didn't visit any restaurant for RM160, sometimes the merchant name can be misleading
i'm surprised they did not go on shopping spree using the card

btw, you might want to request to set sms notification limit to RM1, hope the CS blocks your card immediately

i want to ask how much charges to withdraw CNY cash from China ?
was outstation now but lack of CNY, plan to use Citibank credit card withdraw cash from ATM in china.
*
suggest you to use your ATM card to withdraw instead of credit card
you may enable overseas withdrawal for ATM through online banking for some banks, eg. MBB

Hi guys,

I'm having trouble applying for credit card. Rejection reason from banks are PTPTN issue, and the advice from bank agent is either;
1- re-apply again after 6 months.
2- lock-in FD account where my cc will tie down to the FD.

I have check with PTPTN officer, I have no outstanding but I am not paying consistently previously. I normally pay a lump sum after some time, just started paying regularly 3 months back.

Is there any options other than the suggested above?

Appreciate any recommendation and advice wink.gif
Thank you.

will not work

2- lock-in FD account where my cc will tie down to the FD.
yes, if you are willing to pledge FD

suggest you make consistent payments to PTPTN for 12 mths in a row, then try to apply again

*
ur ccris will be ok after 12 mths, so above shud be ok
and for pledging FD, if FD uplifted, cc will be cancelled

Yes, once you've enabled international roaming then you'll receive the one time PIN's. But be cautious of roaming fees, you might end up with a big bill.

Already checked in ctos report, though it didnt specify what kind of loan it is in the report. It was later clarified by sc bank as credit limit for credit card application. Could this be the reason other bank rejecting my application also??
*
what is your ctos score?
u better clarify again with sc, asking them to chk whether their system recorded any of your application with them - using IC number to chk

all applications for credit will be listed down in ccris
so don't apply too many in a short time

Hey guys, my statement date for my card is on 28th every month. And I heard that if you want to have a good credit score, you should pay your card before end of the month as the score is calculated at the end of every month and not the due date.

I'm planning on paying on every 29th of every month (except February of course) and hope the transaction will be cleared the next day (30th). Q1) But if it's weekend, will this work? Or it will be cleared on the next working day?

Q2) And what if I don't practise this and just pay my card before its due date. Will this hurt my credit score?
*
just pay it on or before the statement due date will do
if you pay later than the due date (normally more than 2 days after it), your CCRIS will record down a missed payment, which is not very good
you will also be charged late payment fees

Wanted to ask, if you are a customer and you bought smtg more than 10k somewhere around (eg July) and you would like to file a dispute with the bank that you did not receive any items. Should this be done immediately or you have a plenty of time to do so becoz the bank would still entertain this case ?

Scam scenerio
July : Buyer (scammer) bought rm10k worth of items online using cc. His orders went through Succesfully (verified by marketplace). Seller did cod and sent his orders within a week (but without proof of collection by buyer eg: siggy, ic,etc )

Dec : seller being informed that buyer has filed dispute that he nvr received any items from cod. Rm10k was charged bk to seller.

My question :
seller being informed of this dispute in dec but not immediately (perhaps august, a month after he realised he did not receive any items from seller?) the gap between july and dec is far too long for the buyer to file this dispute. I wonder if the buyer really reported in aug but the bank took 3-4 months to inform the seller ? Or the bank accepts dispute regardless how long (180 days-365 days) as long as the buyer claimed he never received the items ??
*
i don't think you can file a dispute with the bank
you need to dispute with the website/online store itself, each online stores should hv their own tnc on delivery time frame and certain buyer protection
