Hi,

I have a question regarding credit card usage. I'm still studying, dad is working in Indonesia and mom is a housewife. Several days ago, our TV has reached it's end of life and we want to get a new one using installment.

Is it possible for my mom to use my dad's credit card to purchase the tv? Is it allowed? If not, what other ways is there?

And if I am correct, merchants don't accept debit card for installment transaction right?

Thank you.

a better advice is, let your dad get a supplementary card for your mum or yourself. with the advancement of technology, this can be done across border.

And not to mention, he wants to do installments..possible that the merchant will ask for NRIC to process.

Out of 10 merchants, 7-8 will not ask for NRIC to process based on my experience

That is why fraud happens and BNM set the rules every cc beginning 2017 will have to use 6 digit PIN

You go senheng or senq or aeon , did they ask for your NRIC?

even 1 out of 100, there is still a possibility. you sure you want him and his dad to go though all the police report, court hassle should the 0.01% occur? this is a terrible advice and if you still insist on it, feel free to practice it yourself but don't get others into trouble. simple.

p/s to clear my name, I did not report on your posts. I only reported on intrepidity85's previously...unless you somehow 'terasa'

Don't get butthurt easily. We're discussing in healthy way. The way you say make it like i am encouraging him to commit fraud.. chill up get some fresh air..

second, do you know how to scroll up after i kept reiterate it's up for him to decide and  i did not ask anyone to commit fraud first?

did i say u are the one who report me? u terasa or me? devil.gif

I have an unauthorized transaction of RM500 from paypal Sony.
Sony already refund me the RM500.
But too bad the transaction of debiting RM500 fall before my statement date and the refund fall after my statement date.

This end up I have extra rm500 in my statement balance and refund of RM500 in my unbilled transaction.
I don't need to pay that RM500 in this case, right?

which bank? I have experience with Maybank. They would advise you to pay. I didnt. they reversed any charges incurred later on.

Diff bank diff policy. Some can some not. So better check with the bank. Or tell us which bank as some will already know the answer .

but if you book overseas hotel, your pay later option will follow forex during that time. unless you reserve local hotel, then no forex involved.
*
Not according to Agoda. Pay later option, overseas hotel, the card will be charged with the amount shown during booking.

i don't trust what the cs said... because forex doesn't wait for people... it's always based on the date and time the amount is charged for foreign exchange conversion.

Question:

someone is under akpk with a few banks, out of sudden another bank call n offer the credit card, which only needs to verify some details and accept the terms over the phone, well, the guy gave it a try, although he knows that under akpk it won't get any chance to apply credit facilities, but this is interesting 'coz bank offer like a pre approved card.

But after this he is concerned whether it will trigger any risk or alert to akpk.

Any opinions?

That someone need to be more worried whether that is a scam.
