given the scale of the game, and to make it meticulously detailed in unreal 4 engine is gonna cost a LOT.... It'll take more than 5 years for sure..

The Witcher 3 makes all of those excuses invalid. Even more so since CD Projekt Red isn't as huge a company with as much resources as Square Enix is.

If they were upfront about trying to milk as much money as possible from fans, the games(s) might still sell anyway because the fanboys will still waste their money on it. Now though?
