The Witcher 3 makes all of those excuses invalid. Even more so since CD Projekt Red isn't as huge a company with as much resources as Square Enix is.

Why the need to bullshit people like this? If they were upfront about trying to milk as much money as possible from fans, the games(s) might still sell anyway because the fanboys will still waste their money on it. Now though? They're just lying to people with a straight face about limited resources and time constraints when other studios already had proven them wrong. This will just piss people off more, since they're basically assuming that all of us are idiots, never been in companies and do not know how executives think.

For fuck's sake, the people they're trying to sell FFVIIR to are no longer the children that they were in 1997. They're now working adults. Bullshit just don't work with them anymore.
