070707 saw in news paper if u miss out 070707 for wedding, then u still hv 080808 or 090909 or 101010, 111111 and 121212... then those who plan for marriage, there's still another 5 number u can choose  thumbup.gif

Anyway for those who go career fair, how it is? everyone dress smartly? Got on the spot interview?  wink.gif

For F9 at paac, the lecturer quite ok , quite fast.. His teaching style quite suit me, luckily i got financial management basic, else i think will be a bit tough to catch up. Duno how the other think? Anyone here take up F9 at paac?  blush.gif

shakehead.gif And yet pity at paac on Sunday many stall didnt open for lunch, therefore its better to study at ksa... since sunday the petaling street still hv many stall open ^^
*
last time , i also consider go to paac to take F9. lastly , i choose KSA - andrew pang .

the new syllabus, for paper F8 Audit and Assurance, what is the different from old paper 2.6 Audit and Internal Review? (beside that now F8 all question need to be answered no option question as in paper 2.6)  any student taking paper F6 currently who are well informed about the different?  hmm.gif
happy study  rclxm9.gif
*
f8-syllabus still same with 2.6. no any new things. But questions is compulsory. rclxub.gif rclxub.gif

q1 audit procedures based on scenario 30 marks
q2 short question based on international standard of auditing 10 marks
q3 risk and audit approach 20 marks
q4 more specialised audit areas 20 marks
q5 collection of audit evidence, closedown and reporting 20 marks

to all ACCA friends here,

if you want to buy FTC study text,u can get from;

Maxim Educational Enterprise
Mr SM Jayabalan
No 4 A Jalan Kenari 10
Bandar Baru Puchong
47100 Puchong
Selangor

Contact: Ms Mala
Tel: 03 8075 5601
Fax: 03 8075 6018
Email: maximsedu@maxis.net.my

The company is located near to IOI puchong mall, hopefully you may buy it because is really cheap compare to online ordering, only RM 100 for study text if you buy at Maxim

if you want to buy bpp study text

. BPP
DL Training Consultancy
No 9 Jalan Gereja
50100 Kuala Lumpur

Contact: Mr Daniel Lee
Tel: 03 20322722/ 22828218
Fax: 03 20322378
Email: daniel@dl.com.my

for you information this company located at mcorange institute, the price is also cheaper than online ordering,MPH bookstores, kinokuniya book stores

other provider of bpp study text maybe FTMS college..........visit......www.ftmsglobal.com

but you must become a FTMS student in order to get a discount

and if you are studying at paac college, you can rent the bpp study text for RM50 in one sem,you dont need to buy, just rent it,the paac college will refund you money after the exam, providing that u giving back their book

for other material and references, especially for tax, law, financial reporting, audit paper

i think you better have a look at universiti malaya bookstores which is called "pekan buku"

at this bookstores you can get malaysian taxation(dr choong kwaii fatt) for only rm126 compare to kinokuniya or mph which is rm140

for example, recently i purchased "financial accounting and reporting" which is WRITTEN by BARRY ELLIOT&JAMIE ELLIOT,the publisher is financial times

i purchased only for rm 88 at pekan buku universiti malaya whereas at kinokuniya the price is about RM285

thats so expensive for the same book, which is you've been cheated if you purchased it

the audit book is also a cut price between rm 10-15

so its a lot of discount

so my advice,if you want to buy a lot of reference books, please have a look at Universiti Malaya,if the stock is not available you can order from them, giving the details the book that you want

weeee... just came back from Philip Woo's class...
well well... what can i say? i'm sure those who went for his class today will say one short sentence - 'he's very scary... he talks non-stop'
lol ^^
indeed, the first impression of him was oh well, some late 50s year old guy, look chubby & quite nice... but oh god, he started the class in a great 'introduction'... yes, 'introduction'

he said that he's a very strict person, & say that we need to go for his class tests on some selected day(s), he marks the scripts & if you copy he'll scold you, you need to be PROFESSIONAL (he used that word really umpteen times today), need to KNOW your stuff, don't guess... & know what? he talked for some 30mins on his 'introduction'...

at first i was quite pissed... he said this 'if you don't like my class, you can leave anytime... go to another class which you can sit back relax, STARE AT THE SKY & listen'... he said as well 'my class is not something you come to class, then go home'... which means you'll need to study consistently from day one, otherwise it's Merry X'mas ho ho ho to you... lol

i find him really good once he started lecturing... really makes audit paper seems lively... loads of hilarious jokes, but relevant & sounds convincing... able to keep me awake, alive & kicking... imagine 2pm to 9pm, that was something you see...

well, i love this particular joke...
he said he's wearing 'M' size clothes if it's in the USA... back then he was wearing 'S' size... & he said to the class... oh & his size is quite chubby & quite big... but ok to a man who's at such age... so, he said to the class 'i think for you people, you can't wear these sizes ('S' & 'M')... you know what? you need to go to the CHILDREN'S DEPARTMENT'! lmao... i was like oh god... so funny

his class is really lively... he draws some great diagrams... easily understood & i love his explanation... no doubt why his class is FULL HOUSE... *ding-dong* yea, FULL HOUSE i repeat... even his P1 class as well... unbelievable... undoubtedly the best audit class i've ever attended...

clap clap... really!
now i'm still very awake, how i wish he could last until 10pm... lol, never regret taking his class... woo hoo...

so, how many LYN members in the class? i was smiling to almost everyone i saw... but oh well, i don't have X-ray eyes... anyway i was wearing red today, in jeans... sat on the left side on 7th row to the furthest outside... lol

cheers & enjoy your weekend... ^^

I thought all the lecturer at KSA has their own set of notes......
i think KSA don't have any Kaplan textbook or revision kits......maybe you can ask the guy

there are a few other notes from him..but the main notes i think its BPP..looks like it...

ya ya. i'm also the philip woo student. it is so early now to make decision on ur notes. pls don worried . it just first lesson only on audit risk. read the bpp text book and read and try to do 4 or 5 past year questions on audit risk is enough already. audit risk questions are almost same 1. can tackle 1. we can decide it in future when we faced more difficult chapters like internal control.

ha ha, just my opinion only. icon_rolleyes.gif

Andrew Pang!! Why are u so terrible. Always talk bad about other ppl? Can u stop talking bad about other lecturers in the FORUM?

We students here want a discussion and not listening to all these bad talks.

I very angry with u cos u always talk bad about my lecturer. U don hide, u are andrew pang, cos I can see ur post supporting College Mentari.
U know so well about Mentari because u are director there.

I will tell all my friends to boikot ur class. U r so unethical, always talk bad about other ppl. I HATE U !!!

Where's the prove? This is what u say in another page of the FORUM. U always support Kasturi, U then support Mentari.
Do u think ACCA students will know all these details that u post about Law college?

Please be Ethical.. go attend ACCA ethic course!
*
hmm.gif don be like this la. u also have a right to promote ur college, right ? If he actually is Andrew Pang, he has a right to promote his college. U cannot argued with him, right? It was true and right that Kasturi College course fee is relatively cheaper than any other colleges in KL. biggrin.gif tongue.gif

ACCA students also must be ethical ,right ? Bcos we all are profession . flex.gif

anyways, good luck for all the friends here for the coming results. Hope ur all can posted ur result here after received it.
