I also dont know what the heck is platinum status...i just know TARC want to grab it. But b4 that a college must have premier plus status to apply....that's y SBS are worried they cant maintain the premier plus!.....

Yes...TARC give 100% scholarship to students get full As in all the subjects taken in SPM or STPM. Yes, they will assess ur exam performance and wil not hesitate to take it back from u if u failed or get 2 many Cs for any subjects taken.....
Ya....totally agree with u !! Im still staying there bcoz i want 2 go t SHU...that's all....if not, i ady left the college early...adv diploma is somehow not recognised by most big5!
a)go for audit firm...better prospect coz learn a lot during a short stint like 3 years....anyway most  medium audit firm and big fives will ask u to complete ur ACCA ! So with adv diploma not enough.....

c)i guess to bcome a MIA member u need 2 sit for the MIA exam....

Well.. i think most of u should have known that government has announced RPGT to be abolished for some incentive purposes.. So if applying the acca six months examinable rule, J07 should be the last sitting for RPGT tax n not examinble anymore from D07.. But, from wat i know, even questions for D07 has been set.. How..??

Besides, even though RPGT will be examinable in J07, but in my opinion, it is ridiculous to test student on something that is not applicable anymore in our real life.. What do u guyz think..??

In Malaysia,Big 4 paids more than RM 2 K for freshgraduate (degree or ACCA graduate) and they are employing a lot of people since their turnover is quite high.

Out of the big4, only PWC quite choosy about the candidates, mostly they pick those candidates that have very strong academic result.

As apposed to most commercial line company, most of them paid below RM2K for the ranking of Account officer (freshgraduate). If Account assistant, they pay range is from 1.0 K -1.5 K.
Ya, I do agree that in MNC like British America Taboca etc, they paid well, but the places is so limited & the labor turnover is low.

I hate the fact tht some (actually a lot) commercial co. give higher bonus to sales team & production line staff, & little bonus to Account, HR staff.

EDIT : extra question, do u guys know what is the process of applying membership? i'm currently working in audit firm , was wondering if i have to fill up those STR forms or i just need my firm to confirm to ACCA that i worked with them 3 years already.. how ar?

1. The 'last part' of ACCA u meant is wat we called the part 3 level (to be renamed as professional level soon in new syllabus). Part 3 contain 5papers.. I dun agree if u said 'easy way' to obtain a degree then continue part 3 ACCA.. First, not all degree qualify for full exemption n entitile u to straight part 3.. Secondly, ACCA is a prof course, unlike any other degree, if ur unfamiliarize with ACCA (or other such prof course) exam styles/techniques, u cant pass ACCA easily.. I have a master graduated fren studying ACCA n yet failed..

2. normally how long do ppl use to finish up the last part exam of ACCA?
Therz no clear answer to that.. If u meant only refering to malaysian student, i might say average ppl need bout 2years for part3.. depending on studying part time or full time, it makes lot diff..

3. Regarding working experiences question, the answer is YES.. You may work while u study.. 3years working experiences can be obtained anytime b4, during, or after the completion of ACCA study.. Well, other criterias to be fulfill such as working full time, certain tasks; you may contact ACCA for further info either website/email/or phone ACCA Msia..

Hi there. I know this is ACCA thread but can i ask bout CPA thing oso? My frenz is now studying in AUS high school. He plan to take accounting in AUS. But if im not mistaken, AUS apply different accounting compare to ACCA (UK based), right? So is he able to study ACCA there? If he take CPA, still can work at Malaysia, right?

I think we are caught in the middle....1st of all STA is really UNETHICAL, UNETHICAL and UNETHICAL....didnt keep their words!!!It is them who promised us that they will wait for our results 1st...but now STA are pushing us 2 pay....f them la!
2ndly, i thk the college also got some responsibility...why bring STA to our college and cheat us? Further, i guess the exam division also quite inefficient as until now there's no posting on the website on when our results will be released. To make things worse, our convo will be one week away so can they get all the necessary details ready such as to finalise our grades so we can know where we stand finally....overall, no communication btwn exam division and registrar....

some people got transfer to other centre.

people actually got transferred without knowing it themselves???
