Going to Osaka for Radiohead this august. Wondering if anyone going to? I'll be there from 17-21. Yes, such a short trip, but I think I'll come again next year. So should be ok.

Main thing for me is of course Summer Sonic (Radiohead, Suede, Ronson etc) and record shopping/vinyl, nothing else, dont have much interest in sight seeing. Its a maybe..

17th arrival

18th

Not sure what to do today. Maybe go to Nara or Kobe? Havent really decide anything
Its either record shopping or sight seeing. I like people watching instead of looking at buildings/ tourist place. Its much more interesting, and maybe can strike a conversation too. A looooong shot.
Maybe I go to the castle and shrine and such.
Evening I like to go Kabuki show. So i would maybe stay somewhere around Osaka Shōchiku-za Theatre.

19th
Record shopping. This is pretty much the same like the 18th. Not sure what to do day time, but evening I need to be in south osaka ,booked a room near that area.. and didnt know it is near the red light district. It's actually quite interesting and very very not dodgy at all. Take a look

since u r going on Nov, that mean Winter is Coming...
-> depend on your luck... if it snow on tat day, the second part of cable car might be close for the day

this is really bad if u planned to hike to mount top (really nice view, and freezing cold )
but dont be disappointed, u can be a little bit adventurous
-> u just need to hike it...
abit dangerous la... few ppl told me they to do it anyway

i been there, highly recommended... for food or strolling... either one of them is goooding
the walkway is very narrow, not for u to loitering,
in the nite itself... it is really cold

no comment on 5th trails coz i start my journey at 7th station (after the chair lift)

when i go the time, the mount is snowing on the day before
mean the ice started to form at 5th station, by 7th station the whole area is covered by snow (beautiful)
to tell u the truth... it is not a easy hike (icing road!!!~)
lucky the trail is well managed... they have wooden step on almost every corner (like in kk)
estimate a short hike ~1.5hrs -> 3hrs (depends on your WALKING speed and CAMERA time)

i hv mention many time, i go there for the autumn foliage
i didnt even know we are allowed to hike to the peak
glad that i decided to hike it despite im wearing my jogging shoe
on my way up i can see the opposite mountain/forest full of yellow+red leaf
the weather is nice and clear, the sky is blue...
i also saw few pieces of ice sculpture, snowman, snowduck, snow etc etc (haha child stuff)

that is not the end... the best of the best view is on the top of the mountain... stupendous

I dont think Day 7 works.....the blue pond is quite far you know...

I plan to take early JR from Sapporo to Biei and then to Furano. Just walk around and sightseeing.

I dun mind about hard to find restaurant as can bring own food and search for local dessert and snacks at there.

Hi, me first time travel to Japan on mid November. Kindly help me. What apparel i need to wear because this is my first time? I see googling maybe temperature below 20 C to above 10 C. Do I need to wear winter jacket or long sleeve only? Me also wear inner heatech buy from uniqlo

Ohhh  Actually i cannot tahan sejuk, my office switch on aircond about 20 degree I already wear my jacket + uniform

day 4 sounkyo - sapporo,2ppl
day 5 sapporo,3ppl
day 6 sapporo - otaru - sapporo,3ppl
day 7 sapporo - jozankei - sapporo,3ppl
day 8 sapporo - airport(8am),3ppl

Seems like driving is much more flexible for this kind of trip?
i have look for toyata rent a car & nippon rent a car, the rate is almost like 55k~70k for 7 days. excluding fuel/parking.

Yeah, just that biei/furano/akashihawa/sounkyo that side seems like not that convenient if taking just JR alone. As well as Jozankei.
JR pass for 3 ppl 24000x2(7days) + 22000(5 days) = ~70kYen ad.
so, if car estimate P1 car around 55k~60k + fuel/toll/parking 15k = ~70~75k
mostly will go for car, any recommendation? 

In Biei,
Hmm 6.5k per person, 2 person need 13k.
car rental also near 6.5k per day. So, i think i will go for car.

in otaru, i might consider this pass. 3 person x 1700 = 5100.

yeah, but i'm in Biei/furano/akashihawa for 2 days only. BTW, is it passing 15 Oct that time.
and the sight seeing area quite far from the stations.
