There's no one size fits all itinerary. You make plans based on what your interests are.

Day 3 -Tsukiji Market is relocating in Nov 2016. Will you make it before then? After Nov, it'll be at Toyasu/Odaiba. On a nice clear day, Tokyo Tower offers clear views as far as Mt Fuji. You can consider visiting Tokyo Tower at night or after sundown.

Day 7 - Roppongi is not really a must visit place unless you are specifically after clubbing or Hard Rock Cafe experience. I'd try to plan visiting Shibuya in the morning and spending the rest of the day at Shimokitazawa as it is nearer. Get to Shimokitazawa before dark to find your way around as the train station is undergoing extensive renovation.

Day 9 - I'll scrap Disneyland and head over to Yokohama. This will allow you to compare and contrast both cities. It's very near and suitable for a day trip. There's a Nissin Cup Noodle Museum, Kirin Beer Factory (free 45 min tours and 3 free drinks at the end of the tour) and lots of other stuff to see.

Plan light on your last day, especially if weather is bad, in order to allow you sufficient time to get to Narita Airport. In severe weather (overnight or extensive raining), services of express trains like Narita Express can be disrupted.

Thanks for the long feedback.

I'll be there from 21-31 Oct so i think Tsukiji market will still be there. Crossfinger.

We want to see the nightlife there. Was planning to overnight in Shibuya area also instead of go back to the hotel. Will need to find if there is any 24 hours bar or late nite bar. Street bar is fine too as long there is place to drink or eat.

I will discuss the Yokohama trip with my partner. The reason why we dont really go out of Tokyo is because we dont want to waste our time with the journey. Mibu/Tochigi is because we plan to visit Bandai Museum.

My flight is in Haneda, not Narita. We might repeat a trip to Akihabara before going back. Having one last chance with the maid cafes laugh.gif

You might want to try a love hotel or a capsule hotel at Shibuya just for a night if that's the case.

If you're staying at Asakusa/Ueno, Yokohama is an hour away nia. Avoid the Chinatown in Yokohama and you stunt be disappointed.

Should be okay since Day 6 onward we are looking for hotel around Shinjuku/Shibuya or Suginami and Setagaya area after coming back from Kawaguchiko.

I am travelling to Japan this november. It is 7D7N since i will arrive in Tokyo late at night. I am plan to spend 3N in Tokyo 1N in hakone and 2@3N at Osaka. Need advice on JR pass since it is around MYR1060 for 7days validity. Worth it or not?
*
Just stay in Tokyo. 7 days is still not enough to cover whole Tokyo. And you just wasting your money paying 1000+ for the JR Pass

Guys, got questions

Instead of doing overnight in Haneda airport, I was thinking to take the late-night and early-morning bus service to either Roppongi Hills, Shibuya Railway Station West Exit, Cerulean Tower Tokyu Hotel or Shibuya Mark City and waiting for the first train from there. So which one is the best to spend the night, with nice environment, like lighting, billboards, street bar.

Also, since Day 9 is still free, we plan to go to Kisarazu via Tokyo Bay Aqua Line highway by bus. We saw the photos from the mall. Kinda nice with open sea view. Any advise?

I rather sleep at Haneda Airport.
Lepak outside at midnight until first train will be very cold. With luggage summore, not convenient.
Shibuya Mark City open at 10am to 11pm only.
It won't be nice siting at Cerulean Tower Tokyu Hotel Lobby until morning plus you are not staying in this hotel. On Moral side it should't be done. Don't be like those China rude tourist.

Sitting inside Bus crossing Tokyo bay Aqua have nothing to see. Feel like crossing Penang Bridge only. Plus half way will go under Sea tunnel then nothing to see already.
*
Just sleep at Haneda eh. Hmm...going to discuss that. Because if possible, we dont want to waste few hours in airport doing nothing. Lepak outside looking at the buildings and lighting seems to be fun too. But will consider since you said it gonna be cold. October, I believe it gonna be very windy. Cerulean Hotel just another stop for the busses. We try to find a way to go to Yurakucho on wee hours, but no luck doh.gif

Under the sea tunnel is what we were looking for. Yes it's nothing but it's something we can experience there. Plus Umihotaru is like a mall on a man-made harbor in the middle of the ocean. Look nice on photos, yeah photos laugh.gif

I had tried stay overnight but trust me it is not worth it. Dont spoil your first day suffering without sleep wondering in airport. Pay for the hotel. You can still get to city via metro or bus.
*
We dont plan to check in anywhere until the next day. That's why we come out with plan stroll around Shinjuku or Shibuya area. Or lepak drinking at the street bars.

Our plan. I have question for a trip to Kawaguchiko. Should I leave my backpack at any station and just bring my day-pack? Since it's only for 1 night stay.

i suggest u better sleepover @haneda airport
http://www.sleepinginairports.net/asia/tokyo_haneda.htm
there hv restaurant/charging area/free wifi
u dont wan to lepak at outdoor/cold place, and the trouble with police for loitering
disclaimer: never sleepover at haneda b4

also next morning @haneda, u can buy the metro pass/data sims/pocket wifi etc
*
Those izakaya under JR railway are open 24 hours, if I'm not mistaken. That's why we plan to lepak there. But if we are not able to get the pocket wifi before 12AM, then we might stay at the airport

QUOTE(tohff7 @ Jun 22 2016, 11:13 PM)
you can use the coin locker in Shinjuku station (i assume you depart to Kawaguchiko from there)

if you are staying at a hotel after you return from Kawaguchiko, you can also ask them to keep your luggage first.
*
Oh..thanks for the suggestion. That option was totally not crossing my mind at all.

I have read few blogs, where they went to Tokyo this year and mention Suica card is only for JR Train. I thought it can be used to all trains which accepting PASMO? Even my colleague said the same. She just back from Tokyo 2 weeks ago. Can somebody verify this?
