and maybe bored people could pick up a manga based on another person's recommendation, because god knows how many great animu/mango there are out there, that many people ignored its existance, just because they aren't mainstream enough. Just type out a small description (no copy pasta, srsly), and drop a link, so that everyone could check it out.
![]() Unbalance x2 starts out as a bland ecchi comedy, what with a dumb protagonist who has poo poo for brains, the HUEG boob'd teacher, stupid ecchi coincidences (main character mistakes teacher as cousin, groped her, went into the said teacher after going into the wrong toilet, etc). But starting from late 20's chapter onwards, it suddenly became awesome for the sudden plot twists, and characters with fiendishly evil personalities. Anyway, I'm not really good at describing stuffs, but this manga is really some awesome sauce, if you don't mind the earlier few chapters. Also, unlike many other romance-comedy series out there, this mango actually have a plot and serious romance shit going on. get it here: ttp://www.k-manga.net/index.php?k=download (in before mods remove it, illegal, bad for LYN, policy, etc.) Not enough to convince you (or if you've downloaded it, think that the manga's too generic?)? Here, take a look at what happens later on, at chapter 34 (not really plot related spoilers, but really awesome): » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « ^ Seriously, if that's not awesome and MANLY, I don't know what is. Two superior mango you simply MUST READ!
JoJo's Bizzare Adventures: ![]() Fist of the North Star: ![]() It simply is compulsory for everyone to read these MANLY mangos. JoJo is spreaded over several parts, each with a new generation of Joestar lineage and their storyline. Yes, the WRYYYYYYY and steamroller thing originated from Jojo, part 3 (and the most badass part, just for the ORAORAORAORAORAORA alone) of it, to be more specific. Get Jojo's bizzare adventure here: http://jojo.highervoltage.net/ Hokuto no Ken here: http://www.anime-eden.com/page/manga/fisto...tar/series.html http://www.ftusa.org/rapeyouface/Fist/ |

^ lul whut is this "Comics House"? I've been out of touch with the physical mangos that can be bought/rented at shops since forever ago already.
But yeah, still gonna post it anyway, just in case there were slowpokes like me out there who have yet to realise how awesome those two were (I used to saw Jojo comic books being advertised every loving where some 10 years ago, but I never liked the artwork, and have no idea why it's so popular back then). |

QUOTE(lucifah @ Jul 7 2007, 12:10 AM) My personal recommendations: KING OF INFINITY HARD DRIVE SPACE, DO YOU HAVE ENOUGH SPACE? and that is just about 10% of the titles that i recommend i read about 200+ titles (bar narutard, it used to be good, but dragging it too long is just plain stupid) edit: anything beyond 30 volumes are plain stupid manga. very very very few manga ever made it to more than 30 vols and still kick ass (no, one piece and naruto are not those few) Jojo's f*** AWESOME, and it went pass the 30 volume barrier already. But yeah, agreed on that part. Even the MANLY KENSHIRO manga starts to suck after the Raoh arc. |

QUOTE(Fyonne @ Jul 10 2007, 05:12 PM) Licensed mango are terrible. Sound effect texts doesn't belong in English. Seeing fancy curvy "WOOSH~" when a mango character runs is just plain goofy. QUOTE My Manga List[attachmentid=259702] All my stuffs are in DVD backup form ;_; How much does 500gig external HDD sell for, by the way? I really need one right now. ^ say, can one have two HDD in one's computer? I wouldn't want my ancient 80gig to go waste just like that. Again, what's the price for the new bling bling 500gb?

QUOTE(linkinstreet @ Jul 11 2007, 10:17 AM) Do tell about this "backup software" thing, I'm intrigued. How easily corruptable are DVDs, rly? I simply must know! (I've been verily paranoid of my stuffs going "poof" ever since my HDD died for the first time sometime last year, been backing up shit on DVDs frequently since then) |

QUOTE(lucifah @ Jul 11 2007, 10:43 AM) and not to mention: those americans really stress and elabrotae the dialogues, where the japs prefer it to be simple and let the mango drawings do all the talkings Mango can also have long ass dialogues too, but the difference is that they don't cram 438756432876 words into a tiny speech bubble, like their Amerikkan counterparts do (mainly due to Amerikkans who MUST have colored artwork printed on nice paper in their funnybooks, thus significantly raising their production cost, and thus artists can't spend too much frames on unsignificant minor details, so dialogues that are supposed to last 10 minutes are crammed inside a tiny bubble. Unlike mangos, which are usually printed on shit paper in black and white, where the artists have tonnes of pages to freely throw around with).i hate reading. i like mango |

QUOTE(linkinstreet @ Jul 11 2007, 04:13 PM) Per title, yes. But multiple titles = more cost, and you might be spending more than RM200 per months. And I do prefer the "Jacket Cover" style of Japanese manga than the "cradboard glossy paper cover" of the USA I absolutely love the Japanese's weekly comic idea. Get a bunch of random artist to draw some comic on a chapter-per-week basis, cram them up in a thick magazine, print them on shitty yellow paper that nobody else would want to use, then sell them for dirt cheap prices (over there, anyway, it's still ridiculously expensive when converted to our currency), and let the consumer throw it away after they're bored reading it while in a long distance bus/train/whatever travel. |

^ It's not "expensive", it's merely because our currency's piss weak.
