So that's why.
I heard a lot about differences between SD with other processor, and lost to Exynos too.

How does it compare between Kirin and Exynos?
*
Antutu shows that Snapdragon 820 is the most powerful chipset of the year. It beats the Apple A9, Exynos 8890 and even the Kirin 950.

http://www.lowyat.net/2016/97613/antutu-li...beats-apple-a9/

It's sad that Kirin 950 got overshadowed so quick, but it's still one of the powerful chipsets in the market right now. It's still gonna fly in daily usage, I guess? biggrin.gif

Samsung has never been good at battery life technology.
My previous S3 and current S6 suffers from terrible battery life. sad.gif
I think this year i will go for Xiaomi Mi5 or HTC M10

No love for Mate 8? sad.gif

Anyone here using the Standard 32GB variant?

How much storage did you get out of the box, is it sufficient enough?

Get my phone yesterday. Need to change smaller sim card before fully utilizy it. Very impressed with screen quality and no regret. Smoothness, build, fingerprint are good.

Slightly uncomfortable with its interface but that might be fine. Key pad is weird and im figuring how to cancel off auto-suggest words.

Camera, good cos is big upgrade for me. But I wont notice tiny difference like pro did.

Charging is good, about 2 hour from 20% to 99%.
*
That means it will take like 2+ hours to charge from 0% to 100%? Kinda slow. hmm.gif

Are you using the fast charger?

It's 20% to 99%. Yes their charger.I suggest u get a turbo charger if u still think it's slow.

QUOTE(Crystal2 @ Mar 18 2016, 10:38 AM)
Their brochure states that it will be fully charged from 0% within 2.5 hours. That to me is pretty decent.

I heard that extremely fast charging will KO a battery sooner. Frankly I would prefer a longer lasting battery bearing in mind that Mate 8 battery is not replaceable by users.
*
QUOTE(winstone @ Mar 18 2016, 11:02 AM)
Don forgot,mate 8 is using 4000mAh battery。
*
LOL...maybe I'm spoiled by the VOOC fast charging on the Oppo R7 Plus that has a 4000 mAh battery as well.

I guess 2.5 hours isn't bad for such a big battery, my Z takes like 3 hours to get fully charged.

Benchmark score and camera im sure s7e is a class above, which is reflected in the selling price.
*
Uh no, the reason for the expensive price of the S7 Edge is mainly because it's a Samsung. You know, advertising fees, brand recognition and all those BS. Sure, the dual curved screen does affect the pricing as well, but if the normal S7 was launched here, it would most likely be RM 2700+ which is still expensive.

Samsung knows that many people will buy their flagship no matter what, even if they price it like an iPhone. In the end, Samsung is smart while consumers are dumb.

No one knows, except Huawei themselves. biggrin.gif

But since it's a flagship, and they worked with Google before, I think they have learned a lesson or two in terms of updates.

Gem five rm2249 before the rm280 discount!
After discount will be rm 1969 for 64gb/4gb spec!
*
That's a bargain! As this one is the Champagne Gold version, the Mocha Brown version is RM 2009 after discount.

I'm torn between these two.

I would prefer slow updates over no updates any day. But still, if Huawei wants to compete with others, then they should really improve on their update part.
