The most proper punishment , for me at least, is easy. Ban those GTs and their Live accounts for life, once they found out about these folks dabbling with modified drives/units. See how they squeal when their 8-thousand plus GS gamertags gets flushed down the toilet. Or having to create a new GT and having to enable Live back with repurchasing all the items they have bought before again. Schwwwinnnggg!

That's what i thought so too.

So again, i am predicting Microsoft gona take sometime to build up the xb360 user base first, once they have the required momentum in the console race, they will start banning the un-virgin. tongue.gif

You gotta pity those people who weren't entirely informed about these stuff.

If they bought it in Sg. Wang it's like 99% chance the shopkeeper won't hold responsible

Pity yes, but i expect you to hold responsibility of your expensive purchase. If you hadnt done proper research or keep yourself informed of the equipment you are about to purchase, you are not entitled to own one IMO. This is not like buying a thousand dollar cake or a thousand dollar worth of shark fin soup, where the purpose is simple, this is buying a reasonably complicated device. And if you are not prepared to keep yourself informed about that said device, IMO you are not worthy to own one.

Too many times i have seen casuals come in here whining about their mistaken purchases, and when you ask them if they had done some surveying around before the purchase, guess what their answers would be? This is not like buying shoes or clothes, people!

If you purchased a car and the person said it came with an insurance for example, you were driving it home a few days later and you crash into a car parked in the middle of the road and your car gets destroyed while the other car got damaged. Turned out there was no insurance and the shop just closed down after you bought your car.

What would you do?

Sorry but i think your "source" is very teh weak when i heard you said people are playing Halo 2 on live with pirated copy.
Anyway, nobody can tell exactly how Microsoft ban this & that. Instead of worrying too much, why not just get the legitimate copy and enjoy the game? flex.gif

@michael9413, that's xbox 1...not xbox360.

im here just to discuss about it. nothing more.
and the news i gave. does linked to maxconsoles, even their very own
official xbox thread etc.. i can giv u the link if u want.

even tho im a pirate user. im not concern about this at all.
yes, hate me all u want, owh.. and i do own some original titles btw, which doesnt matter.
xbox 360 is still lacking good games to play IMO.
the best game so far is *drum rolls*

..... Geometry Wars woot!!~

That would not happen to me. I would most definitely, for the sum of money i parted with buying such an item, to check that EVERYTHING is in order. Same goes to my other purchases as well. If you miss out one detail that could bite you back in your bottom, who else is there to blame other than yourself? TO me, if you let yourself be trapped into such a scenario in the first place, you are not prepared to even own a car, if you know next to nothing about something as essential as car insurance. wink.gif

I doubt that even when there ARE games that you would like on a particular system, that you would get that system in the first place. You would rather wait till it gets cracked isnt it? rolleyes.gif Figures.

if its our money why should u care?
im not here to fight for piracy, im just here to discuss this modded nonsense.
if i do encourage piracy or sumthing similar, i should get warned by now.
and btw, the 360 is not mine. but it is for our own siblings.
yea, we couldnt afford expensive things like u can. like.. 10 ps3's 20 xboxes..
if u want to win this, then.. take it. i dont mind. fighting wont help.

Eh, no fight is necessary, just pointing out the obvious. Dont have to take me for an example, there are others who can afford staying true to the cause, and they are students saving up their pocket money. Says a lot about you now isnt it? wink.gif

if u havent know yet,
i get RM2 daily and i need it to spend on my canteen food, drinks, new pens.. etc.. tongue.gif
if i do save it a year worth of money, it'll only get 360 ( forgot the total days in a year tongue.gif )
multiply by 2 = hah, didnt even reach 1k yet.
that didnt count the holidays yet.
now, how long is that gonna take me to even buy me a new game?
my parents obviously not gonna help me funding for my games.

and who could resist the temptation owning one?

Then concentrate on your studies now, get good grades, study smart and get a good paying job and spend it with whatever you like later. Get your priorities straight.

hmm ....

kids have plenty of spare time to game. but no real income besides daddy's allowance ...
working adults have the financial freedom to spend on their hobbies and support ori games, but the job hours really take a toll, and not much spare time to game ....

solution? uncle buy games, nephew go play smile.gif smile.gif
