QUOTE(benson92 @ Jan 8 2016, 05:45 PM) QUOTE(ahnee92 @ Jan 8 2016, 07:51 PM) i'll suggest bro you to use 10w/40, semi synthetic will do seriously, for high cam engine better use xw/"40", more tahan panas bro I run highway quite often. So was thinking fully synthetic. The svc centre I go have 2 kind 1 is 0w30 the other I forget already. I'm still new to car.not good on choosing which engine oil. I'll be svcing soon. Like 5 days from now. I choose 0w30 that time. They say is better of course is more exp( they earn more) that's y say its better. |

QUOTE(GodofSnakeheads @ Jan 29 2016, 01:14 PM) Proton Persona SV 1.6 2015 / 2016 I own the car 10 months now. Hi everyone, I am looking to buy my first new car and my budget is just RM55K. I am looking for a low maintenance car to travel to work, something that I can afford to pay monthly also. I have been browsing for cars and currently Proton Persona SV 1.6 seems most reasonable for my budget, plus I am looking for a sedan. My worries, is Persona SV 1.6 a reliable car? Sometimes I see a very good review and sometimes I see a bad review and also very bad reviews about Persona in general. Some shared about their problems with Person within only a few months of purchase, there is also a complain on fuel consumption. I do not want to get the Persona SV 1.6 and suffer financially. Then it would truly be pointless leaving me to feel cheated. Please advise and if you have any other cars to recommend within the budget of RM55k please do so. Thank you very much for your time. The problem i faced along the way was leaking windscreen (solved by SC they put back sealeant) Plastic rattling just abit ( i fix myself) other than that no issues. just pass my 20k this month. overall is a nice car to drive. For fc i get around 8L/100km my drive is 75% highway 25% city drive. Persona SV is a heavy car so fuel consumption will be higher compared to like example myvi (different segment, but near to similar price range). FC also depends on how u step the paddle right? |

Hmm guys, my persona when drove above 120km/h i hear some sound from the door (is not wind noise). probably high speed cause my door vibrate. i realise when i push the door abit when the noise appear, the noise will disappear.
After some time i decided to give 3m door seal a chance. i bought the length required for 1 door and use it. today i drove my car no more such sound at 130-140 km My door now harder to close though |

QUOTE(Puchong Family @ Feb 29 2016, 04:49 PM) Hi guys, Welcome to the gang!New Persona owner. Going Proton tomorrow to collect my new Proton Persona SV. This model really value for money at Rm42k after discount. No leather seat. I want to pasang the genuine leather seat like one the supplied by Proton for its executive model. I don't want other brand. Honesty I'm not smart enough at distinguishing leather seats by its quality. Accessory shop got hundreds of types to choose from. So I prefer to get the same one supplied by Proton to be on safe side. Any suggestion? Your getting the manual sv right?? If you check out the leather seat price do tell me too :3 |

Hi guys. i have a question to ask.
My door switch driver side has been malfunctioning. sometimes when i open the door the switch doesnt trigger therefore my dash board indicator didnt light up and my car light didnt light up. i told them during my last service they just adjust the spring. it work for few days after that the door switch intermittently malfunction again. Just now i remove the rubber and try to remove the switch by unscrewing the screw that the switch was attached to. i saw sparks between the screw and the body of the switch. i stopped at there. anyone could advice me on this? is this normal |

QUOTE(dares @ Jul 4 2016, 12:01 PM) Thats because the switch is grounded to the car body via the switch's metal part and the screw., so a tiny spark is normal. Thank you for your info. ill try it out and update here later.Last time my driver door also have this issue, I just tighten the screw to make sure the grounding route is firmly secured. After that it rarely happens anymore. Was petrified with the sparks. later pump petrol got spark Kaboom |

hmm this is the second time my aircond blower (not sure if i labelled it correctly) facing problem in 18 mths.
Previously was some metal chipping sound. i send to the centre to get it replaced (under warranty) Just now when i switch on the aircond (fan speed) i hear a weird sound. Then i decided to turn on the fan to maximum. the sound get very loud. it sounded like vrem vrem vrem. the sound is louder near the passenger seat area. since now i still have warranty, i call them up to get my aircond blower replaced? my sc always no stock and wont get the blower in advance. they normally wan recomfirm the situation and then only get the spare part. i would end up a 1-2 weeks to get it replaced. any comments? |

QUOTE(szaku89 @ Nov 17 2016, 02:48 PM) nope just changed to hitachi battery few months ago. To my surprise, the other day no more such prob. maybe sensor problem. Last time i face problem was the from bonet sensor i think. i just open and close the bonet no issue alreadywtfff omg 5 years are you kidding me? my stock RmCar battery only last me for 2 years and 4 months. I found my problem of the alarm through the led blinks at the speedometer there. Number of blinks will show which area the problem is. My god how the hell you guys have battery last so long? Mine was just 1 year 6 mths for stock was in need of battery end up getting borsch. I find that persona battery is kinda expensive Anyway just got ROIDMI2s for my car. its kinda cool! QUOTE(laytiong @ Nov 24 2016, 02:30 PM) drain pipe for aircon evaporator is either blocked and its not draining water out near the steering rack or the hose came loose and water flow into the cabin instead. Think I found the source. Its the door plastic sheet gum malfunction. Need get it replace. Any idea where to get it replaced? Black colour gam. There is a small gap that causes water to leak |

QUOTE(TDUEnthusiast @ Dec 5 2016, 09:56 PM) Go to any spare parts shop and ask for windscreen sealant. It's between RM10~RM20. Don't use it too liberally or you'll have a big and hard to clean mess. Thanks for the tips. i think ill get it to keep it as a spare. I personally wouldn't touch any lubes from a company that sells save fuel stickers. Try brands like Petro Canada, Liqui Moly, Millers, Mobil etc. i just fix the recent leak at sc since under warranty. Seems like this persona thread is dead |
