Anyone try the Century Din55 wet battery here? How's the feedback? Better than MF or vice versa?
Today only I notice Century have wet & Maintenance free for Din55R.

No comment on the engine tune up (dunno what exactly is this tune up) and throttle body service (no idea what's servicing throttle body). Radiator coolant change is recommended every 2 years or 20,000KM.
*
The 'Engine tune up' is just a name for Service charge! kind of bullshit.
The SC that I used to go always put this engine tune up, if go direct under Proton it show service charge or labour charge. Just put it nicer to show people.

They just take the laptop, connect check the error code. Nothing tune! sweat.gif

Front usually wears off first if I'm not mistaken as most of the weight of the car is towards the front.

My car is at 86k km mileage provided that the car didn't have its mileage adjusted by the used car dealer.

So far had to replace engine mounting at 5x xxx km as the rubber was already broken. Absorber mountings at 80k km as the right side was broken. Replaced the fuel pump at 60k+ km thinking that it was the reason the car failed to start within a few cranks, but as it turns out it's just related to maintenance issue, I.e. Dirty throttle body and worn out plugs. It got even better after I used the lambda Otto tank to clean the injectors.
*
The lambda Otto tank is to pour in to petrol tank? really work?

is the absorber mounting, not the absorber  laugh.gif but front absorber seems like got sound also when go thru bump  doh.gif

I see. Ya, I guess our absorber won't last very long as the car is heavy... sweat.gif

Absorber mounting is what symptom? different from absorber?

Gasket on top and bottom of the engine also fix before. sad.gif

Anyone can share the experience?

Should I back to Proton or normal workshop? Less than 20k after change Timing belt last year!

That will cost much & time. doh.gif

my PE had been to Genting more than 50 times throughout it's life.. no major issues so far... just that the rocker cover gasket gave way recently and fixed in SC... and some weird high pitch whining noise following engine RPM when i go above 3k RPM.. not sure what that is..
*
'rocker cover gasket' ? Is that the one engine top part leaking?

My so call aeroplane sound since day 1 is there, after sometimes like not so obvious. After clean TB & some service become obvious again... sweat.gif
but my one is once start the engine is there 1, not follow RPM.

After one month of using,

Now driver door couldn't be opened from outside, I have no idea why.

When rear seats are fully occupied, you can hear some noticeable noise like something is knocking at car boot when driving, my car boot got nothing to cause that sound though...

Ahhh anyone encountered these? Am thinking to go proton sc to check, will they entertain me? 🙁

Mine after 6 years of using..the door cannot be open from the inside..went to accessories shop..change the lock..cost about RM200++..

No squeaking noise though..
*
Last time I can't open from outside too. I just go to SC, they adjust the latch inside. Nothing change, but of course SC labour doh.gif Definitely less than RM100.

You may try it, or ask around the accessory shop see which one know how to adjust for you.

I'm using syntium 3000 se (5w30) and normal 3000 (5w40).
What I noticed is that the sound of engine if finer when using 40. 30 seems to be more 'powerful' though.

Not much difference in fc. That's solely my opinion nontheless. Alot ppl say 40 is better for protong engine though.
*
The engine sound that better is when low rpm or through out?

I'm using 30 for few years already, notice while high rpm is noisy, but if low is ok. Wonder is use back 40, then drive slow or idle will be as quiet as 30?

Generally I feel using 40 the engine is much quieter low and high rpm.
I would say a lil more quiet than 30 even at idle. Not sure is only me and my placeabo effect or anyone else that tried both oil can give some feedback
*
Really? that make me wonder want to change back to 40 or not? Worry on the heavy as used to 30 for few years...

Generally, I'm gentle driver, so most of the time can maintain 2k rpm and below as in KL traffic always jam......
Once in the while shoot up when some idiot make me crazy, but very short while only... biggrin.gif
When rpm more than 3k, can tell that 30 is quite thin from the engine sound.... + 30 is slightly more expensive than 40. (I'm referring to Shell HX7 semi)

Anyone have face the rotor and brake chit chit intermediate when hot?

I have change the brake pad, then after few months feel the vibrate, change the rotor as well. After a week, I remember pass through the water when heavy rain, the next day this happened until now.

Thought it will be gone after some times, but until now few months already still there.

Quite weird, when start drive everything like normal, after about 30 mins, this noise will come, then press the brake pedal, the sound gone. And is intermediate, will disappear & noise again, as it likes.... rclxub.gif

Any sifu to share the experience?
