when the engine and water coolant is cold, try to open up the radiator cap, pour in distilled/RO water. I managed to fill-up at least 300ml.
The spare water tank might showing water is Full, but inside radiator there's air bubble causing the radiator not really full (maybe only 3/4 filled with water).
*
I also have the same problem, the radiator fan keep spinning for more than 5 minutes after engine turn off.

I already did the following

1. change Thermostat
2. change radiator as my previous one already rusty due to bad repair
3. change waterpump also rusty
4. filled with Toyota red coolant, anyhow when check this morning the level seem decreasing? Is it due to evaporation?

Need advise, do I need to top-up water every week? or something wrong somewhere

My Persona Elegance is 7 years already

You top up on spare tank of radiator cap? Initial first 2 days top up is normal, after that "breathing" period you don't need to top up anymore, maybe 4 - 6 months a little bit due to evaporation...

If weekly or daily top up, definitely something wrong. Need to check where was the leakage. I used to have very tiny minor leakage on the thermostat hose "above gearbox" as the clamp not tight.
*
Coolant top up on the radiator itself and the spare tank as well. Did the checking for any leakage but to no avail. Maybe I need to do continuous monitoring?

Is it normal for the radiator fan keep running more than 5 minutes after engine off?

it is normal after a hard drive (example hard drive up genting). if normal drive, the fan wont run after engine off.
*
I see, so no need to worry so much la. Because it usually happen after long distant drive e.g. from Ampang to Seremban or during very hot sun

My fuel consumption is currently on 7.3ltr of 100km, slight increase from 7.2 previously. I wonder if the reading is really a real and not an estimation, how does the calibration works actually?
*
How do you get 7.3 L/100km? Mine was 8.1 and now increased to 8.3 cry.gif

Yes lower is better, I think my FC drop quite significant since I change my tyre size from 196/65/15 to 205/45/16. Wonder if change to 205/50/16 will give any differences.

No lah still here currently on Bridgestone 205/45/16, very confident using this tyre especially during wet. Now near to botak already, planning to change to Michelin PS3 and increase the sidewall from 45 to 50

should i use 100% coolant in the radiator ? Or should i mix it with water ?
*
I also have the same question, pening already. Should I use 100% coolant in the radiator or mix it water (if yes, how much of water) and what about the coolant reservoir near the battery? To fill in only with coolant or mix with water?

Thank you

is it normal, the radiator fan still running (to dissipate maybe extra heat) after ignition is off and why the coolant level at radiator keep decreasing especially I on long distant drive. Is it normal?

How frequent I need to top up the coolant? Is it normal if I need to top up every once a week

FYI my auto PE is 8 years old

Could be the radiator hose bocor already.

Mine had the same problem. The hose that is to the left, the one that comes from the radiator to the engine.

I’m not sure, how to check? I already ask my sc to check for any leaking but they said do not find any leaking. How?

You press where my finger is at, if bocor, the crack will be obvious, it will open up and most probably some radiator fluid will leak out.

[attachmentid=9824758]
Same goes to this but it will be hot if you just drove.
*
Already did this as per your suggestion and it seems there are no crack at both hose

QUOTE(mingyuyu @ May 26 2018, 08:52 PM)
It's a sign of the radiator having issues. Happened to me before and the car ended up overheating due to clogged radiator, better get everything checked from the fan / hoses to the radiator itself.

By the way, my persona's steering felt really tight and heavy to turn especially when it is almost turned to the max left or right. The power steering oil tank is full and no leakage at the hoses nearby at all since I had them replaced a few months ago. Is it something to do with steering rack / power steering pump?

Also the steering is not centered, I have to turn it a few degrees to the right in order for the car to track straight but that steering doesn't vibrate or shake during higher speed, how to fix it?

I'm from selayang / kepong area and anyone has recommended workshop / foreman to go to?
*
I'm not sure but i already change the radiator to a new one and just service it at SC a week back. Mechanic at SC also did not find any leaking in engine area

QUOTE(inferno_17_85 @ May 26 2018, 10:29 PM)
If this happens, engine oil might look creamy due to emulsification. Easy to trace.
*
Agreed

Is there a lot of radiator fluid at the spot where you park?

Most likely your radiator got crack already.
*
I just change to a new radiator last year and just service them last week. Did not notice any leakages.

Has anyone went to Zordaq Putrajaya or Nilai? Wonder how is their workmanship for repair and normal maintenance?

Up until now I don't have a go to workshop that I can trust. Currently, stayed in Kajang

Thank you
