for persona elegance drivers...anyone here using those cabin/ aircon filter?

saw a few sellers selling those filters in the auto section.

but it seems there are two models for persona.

patco and sanden.

anyone currently using them in their cars?
any difference between patco and sanden?

i'm talking about the cabin filter macam air filter look (white cotton like element)
this one is not given to persona owners.

see a few sellers selling in the auto section.

I think persona elegance is using patco. The filter has four segments. The filter for Sanden only has two. Another way to check is to look at the back of the air Cond controller I think, or by looking at the compressor which is just below the engine. You can use your phone to snap a photo since there is plenty of space underneath.
*
so this means persona elegance owners should use patco cabin filters only?

what if use sanden filters even if the aircon compressor is patco?

will any harm be done? hmm.gif

the seller below is selling 2 types of persona elegance filters (patco and sanden).
can check out his link, scroll down and you'll see 2 types of pe filter like you mention above (4 and 2 segments).

just want to give a short review between persona elegance b-line and the persona sv model.
having both models in my house right now.

b-line is ard 5 years old while the persona sv is ard 3 months.

in terms of accessories, sv model got:

driver seat height adjuster
rear seat adjustable head rest
foldable rear seats
back pocket for the front seat

the sv seats are also much more comfortable than the b-line (to my surprise actually). maybe proton added extra foam?

also the sv engine is also much quieter than the b-line.

not sure what have proton done to the seats and engine noise...maybe some of you guys can give your feedback here.

My Persona SV has none of those huh.gif You sure the one you have is not the Executive model?
*
yes confirm sv model. my sv seats are fabric, not leather tongue.gif

maybe its a 2016 model that is why it comes with those seat height adjuster, foldable seats etc.
not sure i'm just guessing maybe proton include all those in 2016 sv models.

your sv is which year?
auto or manual?

yes, sit my colleague's "Sacrificed Value" Persona before, engine is very silent and feel much refined than ordinary persona hatchback.
*
yup..i feel the sv is much more silent than the PE b-line while driving.

not sure whether the engine is more silent or the sv model has better sound proofing.

another thing i notice about the engine characteristics.

when going uphill any slope..the b-line will rev up to 2.5k rpm and then drop back to search for a lower gear and then will go back up to 2.5k rpm.

while the sv would just rev to 3k rpm and then stay there until i reach the top of the slope.

both the cars are auto btw.

i wonder did p1 engineers tuned the engine in the sv model differently from the normal elegance model hmm.gif

According to pault@n the SV's gearbox control unit seemed to have been tweaked slightly compared to the pre-SV Persona....The SV seemed to be more eager and downshift and hold lower gears.

btw how do you find the SV's brakes compared to B-line's?
*
oic, no wonder the difference between sv and the b-line when going uphill.

surprisingly i don't feel any difference in the brakes between the 2 models even though the sv comes with 4 disc.

brakes are adequate but not great.

i feel my previous waja brakes better...got more bite.

maybe need to change the brake servo like what some members here recommend.

My engine start to small oil burn..i think its time to replace the gasket..any advice?..

My mileage is 145k ++ already..
*
have you replace your gasket cover before?

mine only 75k + mileage and the engine is leaking abit according to the foreman.

i also notice some oil stain on the engine block.

so replaced them at around RM95 including labour.

I am thinking to change all my tyres to Hankook V2 at RM160 each inclusive of gst, balancing and installation. There are mixed reviews about it, some says good and some aren't. What do you guys have to say about this and the price quoted?
*
the price is pretty cheap for RM160.

is it 15/60/195 tires?

don't mind telling here which shop is offering that price for the hankook?
