Before using sp sport J5, the getz is using good year duraplus and dont feel 'buang' at all during cornering and wet drivng.... I think getz suspension if not better, its is equal to current jazz model....its feel stable during high speed above 160km/h....

Have bought 2 pcs Falken Sincera SN832 before (it's for my brother car).
Though I never drive the car & no commend on it's performance, but I don't like this tyre. Main reason is it's side wall very thin, too thin that when you use your finger to poke the side wall from the inner side, you may feel your finger tip on the other side.
I seriously doubt if you accidentally rub the tyre side wall with any hard object during parking, it'll burst.
The only good point of it is it's very cheap.

I am not expert on this, but through my reading and experience small / skinny width tyres such as 155 will be easily cutting  through the puddle easier than 255 width of tyres....the result is that skinny tyres is less prone to aquaplaning compared to wider tyres.....pls google on this .....  tongue.gif

yup nod.gif ..
for wider (eg 205) tyre, the water need to travel more distance compare (eg 155)..

I dont understand ur point....thin side wall is based on aspect ratio of your tyre....e.g tyre of 215 45 17 will have thinner side wall as compared to 215 60 17....its got nothing to do with type of tyres....after all this tyre is silica based as like most tyres....however this tyre really dirt cheap....anybody can get lower than RM175 per piece for 195 50R 16 ? I doubt it except for unknown China brand....

I'm referring to the tyre material, not sizes. The side wall of this tyre is very thin, if you at tyre shop, try to touch this tyre and you'll know what I mean.

Most of the tyres material now is natural.rubber with the mix of highly dispersible silicas whereby the silicas will bond with the rubber matrix to enhance the reinforcement of the tyres as most current tyres manufacturer do now
..this Falken tyres using this technology as well...this bonded rubber and silica is much stronger than the natural rubber matrix itself and have greater pliability and thus have the bending or flexibility than ordinary rubber....so the strength of the tyres depend on the thickness of the tyres is already a past equation.....technology do wonders now.....

got offer for 205/55/r16 RM 210/pcs (before GST and before trade in) at kuantan..
they want to trade in with my old michelin XM2 (end 2012) for RM300-4pcs..
my XM2 thread is still about 50% but i'm not confident to use it since already 4 years from date of manufacture..

than something wrong with your tyres.

Thread wear of 520 (if not mistaken) should last for 56-60k km. If only for 40000 km the threadwear should be around 320. But its all down to your driving style also.

i normally used up to 70% of the thread or 5 years whichever come first....so if i used it up to 40,000km which is translate into 70% of the thread, the tyre can possibly go up to 40,000 km / 70 x 100 = 57,000 km.... however i dont believe in manufacturer rating on the thread-wear.... i remember the gimmick of GoodYear Duraplus of 100k km mileage...after 70k , there was practically no grip at all....i believe more on my instinct biggrin.gif rather than marketing gimmick...

Hi, I'm planning to change my tire to falken 832. any review on it? my car is a Vios 2005. I will leave Malaysia after 1 year hopefully. So, was looking for something cheao but fuel economic and good gripping. One of my friend is selling his car, I planed to swipe my tire with his. agreed four tyres for 350rm. he drove his car around 50Km after buying the tyre so its almost brand new. Any suggestion? or should I buy other brand tyre?

Installed 4 pcs of 185/60/15 Falken 832 at rm120 each including gst, balancing, valve, and alignment. Free alignment every 10k km.

Overall good wet braking, decent wet and dry grip, plus comfort tire. Low noice at low speed. Noisy tire above 60km/h though.
