From the picture of tyre thread immediately can identify why its noisy.. It doesn't have small2 line to absorb vibration.. The 3 line in the middle is for disperse water on wet road, and its symmetrical tyre not rotation tyre so can't swap left to right..

My ex-car Hyundai Getz is using sp sport J5....not so good at cornering and wet performance.....this sincera is better in that department...however its noisy than j5....however since the new jazz is used by my son and he dont bother the noisy tyres....then decide on this tyres...

mine is 175/70R/13, frankly speaking, I dont choose Falken 832 is because it give me bad impression on 828, I nearly accident due to 828 during raining, Lucky that I am driving a manual saga blm, so still manage to handle back even is start to drift at Jalan Duta

Means puddle too deep that it aquaplane, tendency higher for smaller vehicles.

If the puddle too deep, any tyre would be aquaplaning , but the tendency is higher with tyre of higher width rather than small width..... biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

Oh interesting. How so that with differing wideness (not side profile width), the tendency greater as it goes wider? Do explain. I thought once once water evacuating channel is overwhelmed, aquaplaning is a given already. Marvin's case was because possibly one side lost traction. But also depends on tyre suitability for rainy conditions too and if there's oil on the road esp when initial downpour after a hot sunny day which somehow contributes to higher incidences of traction loss.

I am not expert on this, but through my reading and experience small / skinny width tyres such as 155 will be easily cutting through the puddle easier than 255 width of tyres....the result is that skinny tyres is less prone to aquaplaning compared to wider tyres.....pls google on this ..... tongue.gif

I think the fact of Getz is really an unstable car during medium and high speed, is the reason for "slightly buang" feeling driving rather than the tyre la. Hehe
