because maybe dangerous items la that's why.
i mean, i read some threads asking even the legality of carrying a folder knives.
in other countries got regulations on knives so i'm just being wary. nothing wrong about knowing your own country's law.

and those are stores. maybe they have licence to sell maybe? i don't know. i have not delve into this issue deeper yet
*
legality wise.

Dagger is illegal
Switchblade is illegal

from what an inspector tells me...all knifes that are close to 4" or longer are illegal to be carried in public, even folders.
if the polis got any sense that u are a danger to society...heck even 2" knife also they can arrest u for.
so of cos they also see face...  whistling.gif

His concern was buying it from ebay.

hence I say knives are NOT illegal to import into malaysia.

But, that Santoku you bought form MidValley? Take it out and swing it around in public see the cops throw you in the slammer or not.

That parang you are using when jungle trekking? Take it to KLCC and see what happens.

as for EDC, I try to keep it to 3", and put it in a bag or something. and when the cops stops you with it, for goodness sake dont say its for "self protection" that implies hurting someone with it. Say its for peeling that apple in your bag or that for opening cardboard boxes etc.

Oh and ofcourse they see face... .u quality for /k standard of 20k get a little extra leeway tongue.gif

I'm not sure abotu torchlights... those really tiny ones.. I stopped using them once the light on my mobile phone gets strong enuf. Any strong would mean I need to thropw the light out of arms reach.. for that i rather get a palm size pocket light,

New toy jst received few days ago....

Wanted to get the smaller type to put in my gears so i can jst throw them into my backpack/slingbag everytime i go out and jst xfer them to another bag if i use them but price wise this big one and the smaller one are roughly the same. So being a cheapskate, i opt for the bigger one..

but turns out there's not enough small loops i can jst slot in a light or spare battery or folders. sad.gif

Regardless, this is pretty big..havent start throwing in my bundles of 550, medi-stuffs and other EDC....but i think it would still fit into bigger backpacks/slingbags....

Hopefully it would look great strapping onto my Moab 10.. nod.gif

And dont think it's an EDC unless one doesnt mind carrying something that look kind of like a handbag.. kekee...
And yes, it does look like one that u use for your toiletries.. lol

depends on your usage i guess

for me i mainly using it to look for seats in the cinema

look for keyhole at the front door when i got back at night

look for my slippers at night when i wanna go out

simple things like that

of course your phone can do that but i prefer something dedicated for its usage

and small enough in a form of keychain that i can carry with no hassle

a bigger palm size lights is too big for me to edc

for now i build my edc mainly on my keychain for convenience

For your requirement... phone led lights does fine le...

I liek to keep as light as possible... bulky trousers pocket is not good looking blush.gif

You distinctly asked for a carabiner with locks woi! shakehead.gif

Anyway, for hooking your keys to your belt (i.e. zero load) just get anythign that looks nice lah... its a case of form over function, for me I never want anything danglign around my pants. Its unseemly... not fashionable tongue.gif

but maybe should look at ogm first.. topup few ringgit can get a single person medical kit just that dunno case looks like what
*
Its good to have a first aid kit in yoru house.

However, dont bother with one in your car, stick to TWO items... quikclot and isreali bandage. I have those in all my cars.

The main problem with a 150 items first aid kit is that 99%of the time ppl wont know what to do in an emergency.

As for ripstop etc, try getting Cordura 1000D material, all the armies/special ops etc tactical stuff usually use those.. instead of ripstop.

U guys can try looking at this site for your "tactical" pouches etc..

Problem with self build ones is... yeah.. so u know hwo to use everythign in there... but... what happens if you had a car accidently and u need others to help u? Do THEY know how to use it.....

The way I see it... the emergency kit is for others to use on you..
