Hi sifus, im looking for a new phone for my mum. She mostly just use phone for FB and some games. Considering Redmi Note 9S for the large battery and price RM899. Also looking at Samsung A51, Vivo S1 Pro and Honor 20 for slightly better camera but smaller battery and higher price.

Or should I wait for the rumoured Redmi Note 9 Pro announcement on the 30th? Any suggestions are greatly appreciated smile.gif

1. Brand. - Any
2. Budget. - RM1000 (+ - 200)
3. Specs. - Decent camera and good battery life
4. Type/Size. - User friendly UI

There are two methods to it. Both are available in the link below:

Hope it helps.

Hey guys, my phone (Mate 9 bought during launch) just died on me during this MCO (sadly) and now have to source for a phone mainly for business, reading and some gaming use. Have always been an avid Huawei user but now no GMS so I have to jump ship and no I won't buy a Samsung as I hate that brand on a personal level (no offense to Samsung users as it's a personal choice of mine).

1. Brand. - Any Android Phone
2. Budget. Below RM3,000
3. Specs. - User Interface, Bigger screen is good (too much gaming during younger days so eyesight is bad), Closest to Stock Android (for frequent updates), Headphone jacks (i'm old school)
4. Type/Size. - Any

Thinking of P30 Pro, OnePlus 7 Pro but seeing OnePlus8 coming out soon (should I wait?), any others?

My old phone is acting odd at times, should I get the Mi 9 now or wait for Mi 10 Lite to get to Malaysia? I'm not sure whether I should aim to future proof with 5G or not.

1. Brand. Any except FunTouchOS equivalent
2. Budget. ~RM1.5k
3. Specs. CPU specs, build quality and custom ROM support after end of life update
4. Type/Size. As long as not phablet

Oneplus 7T or the latest iPhone SE ?

If you are buying 128GB or 256GB iPhone SE and above, i think better to look elsewhere like oneplus 7t. But for your info, the oneplus phones have this issue where when you export video or pictures, the colors seem off. Video below explains it starting at min 3.40

I was also looking at this phone but this is really big dealbreaker for me.

XIAOMI Mi9T PRO
LENOVO Z6 PRO
ONEPLUS 6T (try to find)

5G phones are expensive and are still in early stage of implementation in Malaysia
