Barcelona legend Carles Puyol could help his "friend Louis van Gaal" to lure Spain international Marc Bartra from the Nou Camp to Manchester United, according to reports. Puyol, who retired from football in 2014, is starting a new career as a football agent and is about to get the services of Bartra as his first client.

The 24-year-old defender was heavily linked with a move away from the Champions League holders during the summer transfer window after it emerged he was available for €12m (£8.4m, $12.7m) due to a clause in his contract that stipulated his original €20m fee will drop to that cut-price figure unless he plays the agreed number of games in a season.

We can always hope such thing won't happen. At least not until he wins something with United, before RM come calling with "he is sepenis, he belongs to us in Sepen" campaign.

Ramos got raped many times, but still people (almost) jizzed over him, when Woody and Perez play that tug-o-war game.

Funny, almost everytime they play after some death anniversary, the results wouldn't be in their favour. Didn't watch but mostly say Schweiny looked like he needed a rest.

Well, at least defensively LvG has fixed it. Lowest goal scored against in the league, only a point off the leader. Only attacking part is unimaginative

United recently has a knack of "hoarding" young GKs. Perhaps, they are thinking of adding another name to that: Gianluigi Donnarumma. Dubbed the next "Buffon". Already playing first team games. 16. 16. 16.

West Ham next, eh?

Will United score?

Scoreless draw OR finally scoring but lose?

Pep or Giggs or others?

Syukur West Ham also in a mini slump after their main playmaker injured. Can't remember the name. Going to be an "Exciting" 0-0.

Is it that Payet guy?

Cukur

Well, traditionally West Ham away always tough fixture anyway.

If Gary becomes successful, I would prefer him to be next United manager more than Giggs, really. At least, he has shown us that he has the analytical skills. Hope he will be a good manager with experience coaching abroad in SPL no less against the big two.

Dude I'm not a United fan and I don't bother defending his so called "PHILOSOPHY" because I don't care.

What I'm saying is he is getting results at the expense of entertainment and as long as he rakes in the moolah for the owners, them billionaires don't f*cking care. Let's not forget United is still right in the mix for the title as unlikely as it sounds. What if by some magnificent luck he somehow has the team crawl across the finish line to the title leading to the owners extending his contract - nightmare?

And I agree with the sentiments here, in the long term fans will demand much more than just results. Unfortunately with only 1 year left on his contract, all these talks of winning trophies while playing the "Manchester United Way" will not be enough to push the owners to terminate his contract prematurely. That said, I don't expect him to be retained beyond his contract unless he wins the league. Will you be complaining though if he wins the league ugly?

I can only imagine the amount of bragging for someone of LVG's ego when his successor eventually comes in to win trophies and maybe play better football that LVG is gonna claim a huge amount of credit for laying the foundations.

Just like what he did at Bayern, and I guess to certain extent at Barca as well. Bayern is obviously a very strong team in the world at the moment, but they don't become what they are now only recently. Many positives, at least in the defensive side. At least, LvG makes the team defensively strong and difficult to beat.

For me, I am willing to give him time, as well as young players that comes from different leagues, to play in different team and environment, to settle in and grow with the team. I am sure whoever will be the next manager, he will reap the benefits having these young players that should be more experienced and settled by then. Plus, I think the lost of Shaw to injury really affects the team more than we would imagined.

^Must be some kind of hybrid weed + vape brew something, for them to conjure something like that. Must be nice to be a football journalist nowadays, and write fairytale and get paid. Maybe I need to change career.

Rejoice! No Rooney! Let's see if United really would improve in the absence of the white Pele. Lingard is still 50/50 to play. I guess it would Memphis, Martial, Mata, Young? Hopefully will get to see Pereira or other player that may surprise us. That Rashford fella perhaps?

How much we spent? How much arsenal spent? Plus they're just what 1-2 points behind us. And they thrashed us last time around

Disregarding how much they have spent a bit, the squad is more or less have played two seasons together at least. United squad is relatively young in terms of playing together. I will give it at least one more season unless LvG start chop amd change again next season. I think would see some major changes after this season as well. Maybe Runi would be involved brows.gif

LVG is a big hypocrite la. First joined say everyone will have to proof themselves. No favoritism. Then keep playing RVP last season like Rooney this season.

If follow the trend RvP we can all guess what would happen to Runi next. brows.gif

Torres was a Tor-nado back in his Liverpool days. Costa was really good last season. Aguero is firing goals and more goals. Falcao.. sweat.gif

Other three go direct from Madrid to respective club. Falcao go the money route at Monaco first. Not to mention the major injury. Oh well. At least United is 11 points of safety points mark. brows.gif

Is Varela the reason LvG letting Rafael go? Haven't watch the highlights yet but seems to have good game from most of the comments online. At least, hopefully, no more Tony V/Young/McNair there.

Bukan already backfired ka? Injured last game? Not sure but probably he played most if not all game this season. Kind of surprising really given his previous fitness record.
