I was quoted by used car dealer that the processing fee is 2.7k.

Processing fee include, car inspection, change of ownership, service charge. These are the three things I rmb he told me about. Might miss out some . is that processing fee reasonable ?

The price quoted include roadtax & insurance?

To me, used car dealers are just getting greedy or greedier!

When I bought my used car a couple of years back, the transfer fees was only rm600, which was reasonable to me (although can get lower la). Now, everywhere you go, the transfer fees are rm3k - 4K!!! Ridiculous!!!!

I was thinking of getting a used car recently but all these processing fees just put me off! I don't condone this act of greediness and so I bought a new car instead!

Imagine, the used car dealers are getting the cars at super low price, mark it up by a good margin and then add 'processing fees' to earn more!!!

Bought iswara early this year and 1st gen vios this month. No processing fee. Just few hundred for insurance and roadtax. No service charge, transfer ownership fee, and car inspection bullshit for more than 200 ringgit.

I'm actually looking at 2012 persona elegance.. wanna submit documents this sunday but after looking at the calculation again.. the processing fee is quite high..

u have to discuss with the salesman/their manager. that is they mark up the processing fees price. see how much u able to nego with them else find others shop lo. I also buy fews month ago and the shop charge me RM1k for processing fee which exclude road tax and etc.

the 1k is before or after nego? previously got shop charge me RM4K for processing fee. I direct go other dealer... btw, whats the interest rate u get ? 7 or 9 years? loan amount?

i take loan RM50k, 5yr. is variable interest rate. 3.9%. but in bank online i see is 7.1% lol.

RM1k is before nego. after that i ask for nego till RM500 only. Ask the salesman change auto transmission oil they also refuse to do so said no earn. bullshit.

Depends on those shop see their salesman/boss good or not good. My friend by 2nd waja, ask the shop change absorber, service air cond, engine lub. all they do without additional charges, some more provide resit show to you they carry out those service to you. Any problems can find them back. lol...lucky him.

the processing mostly eat by the salesman. nego with him see what else they can provide u lo, tinted, full petrol and etc.

dafuq 7.1% lol.. the dealer told me highest can reach is 4.5% @ 9 years. Maybe this sunday i try go nego nego oso.. As for the persona I'm interested in, he said power window motor got problem and window got abit crack, he said will get it fix if im really interested. He will help me change engine oil as well.

sometimes discuss with salesman pretty hard one. get those shop direct boss better..can nego more lol...cause salesman also want to earn commission.

actually the person im dealing is the boss liao will ask my brothers to nego with him since my brothers good in negotiating

when i was try to nego with the salesman, about their processing fees, i ask him to split out i wanna see those charges how they sum out the amount.

i'm not satisfy and ask for their boss number, he not even dare to give. but his supervisor does give a call so i ask and discuss and find out that their split out charges amount is not like the salesman said. Lastly i got the nego 50%

I'm not satisfy with the car dealer shop. some more i ald pay deposit too much... so hard to nego also. want cancel then i rugi all my deposit.

The car tyre see got sound or not. mine not lucky. i notice it when i drive fast got sound..lastly after drive 3 month i notice 1 of the tyre got tumour lol..so have to change no choice

Sunday go test the car first lo.. If not OK den I won't pay deposit. If ok only pay haha...aircond is fine. Cold. Tyre and rims okay.. Once loan approve, we will ask him send to nearby proton for inspection also. Mana tau ltr accident before.. If accident before den we dontwan edi

Mine was 2.5k . Car condition still looks new despite clocking at a higher mileage. Plus all the service record is documented. Fully serviced by the manufacture and warranty is still in tact. My situation was, I need the car fast, hence I don't mind paying. Got my car within 2 weeks inclusive of bank processing etc.

I guess you haven't calculate the gst? Better check if they do charge.

Willing buyer willing seller. If u think processing fee too high buy fr another dealer. If u borrow fr bank, bank will give kick back min. Rm600 to the dealer for commission. If car more than 10 yr or ur docs cannot qualified then go to credit company like AeON, then the dealer got to pay appx 1.6k to Aeon for processing.

i dont know the details. The 2nd car i brought is 8yr car. I dont want the car dealer bank. i find my friends to help me do the bank loan.

If you want the car. Ask yourself. Are you willing to pay for it. Else negotiate. Simple as that

Nowadays it's not easy to get banks approval.

Guys.. interest rates would depend on the age of the car, model (popular vs unpopular) models, hirer documentation and qualifications and ultimately the Bank itself,. I would put the interest rates from 3.5 to 5.95% for banks and 7.8% to 10% for credit companies like Aeon for the current market rates for interest rates.
