QUOTE(zeist @ Dec 30 2006, 09:59 PM)
No lare, cannot reach 7K RPM. Mine is a lousy 1.3. The max I can do is 6.5K on 1st and 2nd gear. But I always shift at 5.5K - 6K RPM.

On highway, i drive minimum 100km/h, but most of the time 120km/h - 140km/h.

I whack high RPM, can say quite often. Whenever I use the car, sure got whack one.  laugh.gif

And, plus air-cond. So that is the mileage I got.

The mileage is not very pleasing, but nothing I can do about it. So I just continue to thrash the damn engine.  laugh.gif , stupid 1.3  hands.gif

What kind of last service do you mean?

u installed tachometer izzit? i driving 1.3 oso...but i can't see how high i whack. all i know is, if rev high enough, up shift sure damn smooth wan...haha...whack at night the best...wakakakaka

just got back from glenmarie branch. they only have the 1.6 auto (non-h/line) for test-drive. i took it anyway...compare to honda city's gearbox, the difference is like heaven and earth, then of course, the comparison is flawed (now stop flaming. pls.) the gear box seems 'lost' at times. it droped gear when the car was maintaining speed. maybe i should put more practice into my pedal work. the weird sound can still be heard once the rev hits 5k+. the brakes feels unresponsive compared to my satria 1.3 manual and a myvi 1.0 (dad's car). was looking forward to test the manual though, but they don't have it. maybe i shud go to the COE branch and check if they have it. can't wait to floor it...

p/s: it's not as loud as some ppl complained. the sound isolation is still better than my old satria. it's only the weird sound (5k+) which frightens me.

We both have the same mileage, but sad case mine is a puny 1.3 only.  cry.gif

I think I should change my driving habit.  laugh.gif

"instead of having 10 stages during acceleration, he must double it." (or something like that...quoted from initial-d. keke...)

anyway, i'm driving 1.3 manual oso and RM50 can only take me about 300km. the key here is not to floor it everytime. you shud be able to gauge how much to press to make the car accelerate more. most of the time, u will feel that by pressing the pedal 1cm or 3cm, it does not make much difference in terms of acceleration speed, therefore, you should gradually depress the pedal until you reach the required speed and not floor it until you reach your required speed. i'm sure this way you can get a better FC out of our very old engine...
