QUOTE(iAwesome @ Nov 29 2015, 05:42 PM) Did you happen to have Joenida's HG2 and test the discharge rate? Nah, I do have some genuine HG2 from other sources though. I can't really test discharge rate only capacity. Anyway if they do turnout to be rewrapped batteries we can be sure the safe discharge rate will be lower!

QUOTE(andyng38 @ Nov 29 2015, 07:22 PM) I hope you'll post the results for the various batteries/sources. Pity I'm far from KL, otherwise I could lend u a pair of Joenida's HG2's to try...I'm curious as to how they'd perform in a more scientific test of capacity other than my "agak-agak" method . Which device are you using to discharge? If not too expensive, I may get one. Imax B6AC - discharges to set voltage (ie 1A to 3V)

QUOTE(gnomemaster @ Nov 30 2015, 12:49 AM) nichrome is similar to kanthal... if i am not mistaken, any wire can use in TC mode. jz set the resistance and u are good to go. Temperature measured by change of resistance, wire like Kanthal doesn't have enough resistance change when heating up to be used in TC

Actually I think I read in reddit before also, specifically on D2 using in TC mode with non TC wire as it fires wrong (too high), I don't know as don't have a D2

QUOTE(idesmond @ Dec 1 2015, 11:23 AM) Thanks for the advice buddy. I just received my Reuleaux and 3 LGs this morning.. Take a look at the batteries.. this does not look new to me.. Also there is a small chipped area on the mod top. Haiiiii... » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « [attachmentid=5415273]
[attachmentid=5415276]
[attachmentid=5415280] Those look bad, at least mine looked new! Mine did have dents underneath the wrapper though, so I think they're just other cells re-wrapped. I've been trying to identify them but no luck as of yet. I'm waiting on DHL from UK to deliver a different charger so I can easily test the capacity on some of the 18650 and compare with known genuine cells - see what the differencei s.

QUOTE(cloudsbroclouds @ Dec 1 2015, 04:04 PM) interesting. i always thought customs block batteries. if thats the case i wanna order some good 26650s! Time to play 26650 mech mods haha Why would customs block batteries? The whole issue with shipping batteries is due to the IATA regulation for lithium cells by air, if you abide to the guidelines you can ship batteries by FedEx/DHL/TNT etc by air.

QUOTE(cloudsbroclouds @ Dec 1 2015, 04:08 PM) I've heard of people's batteries being sent back/destroyed/something like that once the batts enter their country. which was why i never took the risk. im still looking for some good 26650s hmmm that nkon website has keeppower and tests look pretty promising. That would be due to not following regs or shipping with service that doesn't accept lithium cells, not customs. If the rules are followed it isn't a problem.

QUOTE(idesmond @ Dec 2 2015, 03:33 PM) DNA 200 doesnt read crown SS coils very well. Currently using 0.25 ohm SS coil. Power mode : Reading 0.20 - 0.45 ohm (Good warm vape @ 35 watts) TC mode : Reading 0.16 ohm (Weak vape @ 70 watts, TC kicks in after 2 - 3 puffs) So confusing DNA200 with Uwell RBA (vertical SS coil) - works perfectly on the Wismec Reuleaux, but doesn't work properly on my VT200 at all, hits temperature limit instantly. Might try to run case analyser, see if that resolves it.

So mind boggling this DNA 200. Im getting the same issue that youre getting on the VT200, but on the Wismec Strange - have you tried running case analyser before? What's your settings in escribe like?

QUOTE(syafiq0211 @ Dec 2 2015, 10:14 PM) went to the vape shop just now to change my batteries for a new one, but they dont have any stock left luckily the owner was considerate enough to refund my moneh. 90% sure that the batteries that he sold to me are the fake ones, as the surface of the batteries are a bit glossy/shiny compared to the original ones. Plus the wrapping seems to peel off easily too. Do take note guys Which batteries?

Btw compared the HE4 from Joenida to genuine ones - different positive part, different yellow wrapper, different weight (41g vs 46g).

QUOTE(jakal sombong @ Dec 3 2015, 02:09 AM) ur using the wismec DNA200 ? where did you order the rx?? dunno which to buy afraid only little improvement with the huge price gap. Website from China, I did post link earlier - on phone so don't have it to hand now. Fasttech are doing backorders for it too. Didn't realise there was a different version coming out when I ordered it... Yeah, it's a big price gap for sure - although I do like all the features of escribe you get with the DNA200!
