yes normally they charge 4~5 per tyres...

hmm you must know quiet does not means good wet condition tracking...
you have to compensate with some of the Pro and Cons of the tyre...

Look at the ranking of the all season passanger tyres

but never use NCT5 any more... scary...  shakehead.gif
it wet condition performance sucks... remember not to drive fast when you are low on thread...

my side 15" n below except 4x4 is rm10 for 4pieces~
then 16" n above n 4x4 rm20 for 4 pieces~ icon_rolleyes.gif

Bro.. BS and "cheaper than michelin" does not go together in 1 sentence nowadays..
Most of d time BS price is higher than michelin laugh.gif
*

depending which model of bs compare 2 michelin also~
if u wanna compare bs n michelin will b like turanza wit xm1/mxv8
then potenza wit pp2

QUOTE(silverwave @ Apr 2 2009, 09:22 PM)
Yup, i agree that the tyre wears out fast. The shopkeeper told me too.

Does it mean that all soft tyres wear out fast?
*

i do believe tat he doesn't know tat mxv8 is much better than xm1 interm of durabilty as mxv8 is 1 grade higher than xm1~

QUOTE(loong2020 @ Apr 2 2009, 10:32 PM)
wears out fast...so i guess its soft tires right?...means cornering not really good.. sweat.gif  oh yea..comparing mxv8 and pp2 is there any different?..
*
mxv8 is comfort tires n pp2 is performance tire so how 2 compare? ? sweat.gif

That's true  biggrin.gif

May be i will go and change tomorrow. Hopefully the price for 50 and 55 series is about the same for michelin mvx8.
*
i'll say mxv8 is rare for tis size n it's made from japan n if i'm not mistaken i saw fromm y price list is 500++ per piece~

QUOTE(silverwave @ Apr 4 2009, 10:41 PM)

So bad luck today, my rear tyre puncture because of 2BiG Nails !!  Only did 6k km on this RE001(3months on board) ..
Went to tyre shop, found out the tyre cannot be repair, the hole is big.....i was left disappointed, finally decided to replaced the 4 almost new RE001 with new set...

My first set of RE001, 31st-Dec-2008 ...6k km clocked. Front still have 90% tread left..rear is about 95%.

too bad, i went to other shop to survey for AD08 first, yet to arrive...or else i must have been running on AD08 now
*

mmm.... quite interested with falken 912...
how its performance during wet and dry road compare with continental comfort 1 (size 195/55/R15)???

and quietness for those two????

If I change from 195/55/R15 to 195/60/R15... any changes in term of comfort, FC, quietness and performance??

**p/s : pls take note that comfort mean like no bumpy, absord uneven road well... for quietness mean how quiet this tyre penetrating (correct word??  smile.gif )  cabin???
*
if u're driving a waja then yes u can upgrade from 195/55-15 to 195/60-15~
