Am not too sure whether the local distributor brings in the XM1 in that size, if you are looking for something simple and basic, then u should look for Yokohama AA01, Continental Comfort Contact-1, those are the better simple and basic tyres in 165/55R14 size.
Simple and basic and slightly better performance(than the stock SIME or Silverstone tyres)
- Yokohama A.Drive AA01
- Continental Comfort Contact-1 (also commonly known as Continental CC-1)
- Goodyear Ducaro GA
- Falken ZIEX ZE-326(old discontinued model in Japan and had been replaced by ZE-329, I wouldn't really commend this thread having bad experience with it on other cars i mounted them on)
Slightly better performance than stock
- Bridgestone Potenza RE030
- Hankook Ventus V8-RS(I heard quite it's quite recommend over at K2OC forum, going for around RM130 with trade in, quite worth it's performance)
High Performance
- Bridgestone Potenza RE-01
- Yokohama AD07
I can recommend you a decent place to get tyres if you are keen.
Unfortunately, I have no ideas of the comfort levels as comfort tolerance varies between persons, and also, I only own a Kancil which just so happen to be running on 165/60R13, don't have a Kelisa/Kenari around so no ideas. Was initially inclined to getting a used set of 155/65R13 Goodyear GT3 from a Viva owner that done around 1500kms on it but he doesn't want to budge from his RM300 asking price so I decided to just screw it and get new tyres instead.
Michelin Certis? Where did u get it for RM140? Did u check it's manufacturing date? Certis is the older version of XM-1, but the last i heard, it's already discontinued for quite a long time. That price is still quite ok actually if it's fresh tyres, i got my Yokohama AA01 165/60R13 for RM125 before the 1st July price increase.
