Hi again everyone!

I finally received my item on the 16th. My actual delivery date was supposed to be on the 12th, too. After many calls to Lazada and an emails to Ninja Van, the item was picked up from the warehouse on the 14th. I was then due to leave Malaysia the evening on the 16th. It was frustrating to talk to Lazada because I had to repeat that I wanted my item by the 16th as I won't be around.

The whole arrangement is messed up. The courier service does not even have a contact number and email to their name, as mentioned above, how do they handle issues that arise? My emails through the Ninja Van's Malaysian site goes to the Singaporean branch. And then they have to CC the email to the Malaysian branch. In addition to that, upon asking Lazada's customer service reps for Ninja Van's contact number, they said they really didn't have one and they, too, emailed like us common folk. Wonderful.

Finally, just after 5pm, I received a call from a courier guy who works for Ninja Van. This guy is amazing. He delivered my item despite having ended work that day. He did this on his own initiative. BUT, after the call, Lazada's call centre manager called and said that Ninja Van can't deliver on the 16th and will have to deliver the next day. Excellent communication.

How is it that Lazada has no control over a courier/logistics service for which they pay? How is it that the fate of an item's delivery is dictated by the person at the lowest end of the command chain? Really, the guy who delivered my item should be made manager and the nincompoop who is manager should be the courier to learn the ropes.

I think, if any of you face the same problem with Lazada and their marvelous logistics partner, put the pressure on.

This is normal, hence you can see most of the online seller would say they can only send the item as fast as possible and then the arrival date will depend on the reliability of the courier company. Ways to avoid this is by picking up the item yourself at their final hub. Same thing happened to me twice when lazada delivered my product using nationwide express whereby after such a period i had to pick it up myself at the final hub because it is just faster that way.
