By the way, if anyone noticed some if not all of the blue chip counters and selected mid-cap stocks have an extremely high transaction in the volume at the pre-closing.

Wonder if Valuecap is now in the game? hmm.gif

Noob question
Now 1 lot equals how many units?
*
1 Lot = 100 Units

By the way, Instaco looks like rising only for today and maybe tomorrow. And high activity in other selected main board small caps.

Lots of small caps flying this morning. Axiata is one of the top gainers this morning.

Kossan plunges once again, Top Glove has a lower bias neutral side for now, Supermax is gaining. But of course, the best are telco shares though it is better to wait before entering.

dear sifus, if i'm interested to buy CLIQ, i assume it is worth to buy the warrant since the premium is -26.81% now. am i correct to say that?
*
Please do not buy the warrant as they failed to secure a "Qualifying Asset". Meaning you can only convert if they secure the QA which they have missed the window. Presently, they are liquidating the shares sometime before 8th of April.

Once you go in, you can never turn back. If you want to collect premium, I suggest maybe Focus Dynamics or N2N Connect warrants as an alternative.

Any idea around how much they can earn per month? And how much capital you need to be full time?
Thanks.
*
Can vary between each person.

The most important factor to consider is the brokerage fees. If your brokerage fees are low, you can scalp 10 to 2000 per trade, easy factoring capital. If one wants a stable additional income, have at least 20k in your trust account, recommended.

Speaking of cup and handle, isn't it AAX look like one?
*
Which one? From the monthly graph? Or the daily graph? I do not have the photos of it but where?

Ah yes, that daily graph also has the one that is shaped as a cup with handle. But if you extrapolate to a monthly graph, AAX also have a pattern of a cup with a handle. So yes, expecting an uptrend from here on. Hopefully. sweat.gif

LOL!

I have said before...
in charting ...
everyone tend to see what they see....

icon_rolleyes.gif

Look carefully at your initial cup drawing....
personally I do not like the formation of the cup....
it's lopsided to one side...
such cups like this...
tends to be lembik....

so say we accept that as the cup...
the top or the brim of the tea cup is around 41 sen (or 40.5 sen... give or take la)

now the handle...
look at the handle...
ie... from 41 sen to 37.5 sen...

when the stock rallied from the bottom
ie from 37.5 sen to 41 sen...

the trading buy would have been 41 sen...
on 2nd Aug...

right there and then....
would have been your cup and handle formation...

and the stock should have rallied higher than 41 sen on 2nd Aug.
Did it?
No it did not...
instead it formed the other boob that you had hamsaply drawn.... tongue.gif
this is what I see....

I second that. Lol, I only bought it due to the quarterly results hype due for this week, after that, we're finished business.

Anyway, I have also seen that some cup with handle formations are perfect. However, failed to break to the upside and just went sideways.

The thing with TA is that it can go one or two ways. While it works most of the time, it can also fail (while the percentage is small). Yes, that is coming from a person who also uses TA albeit only on 5 minutes to 1 hour candlesticks.

But experience-wise, I can see AAX rebounding again (sideway trend forming on a 1 month chart) but it is unclear whether it can break 41.5 this time or not as it has been tried several times but to no avail. I'll save the support set at 39 with a heavy resistance at 41.5. If the resistance breaks through, it can fly up.

Just my opinion. icon_rolleyes.gif

Post here instead... tongue.gif

Yup! Agree with you also.
Even if one would be so 'lucky' to manage to buy at 0.005... (probably have to Q all year - and yea Hubline have been trading at this price 0.005/0.01 for one year already. LOL! ) , one still have to consider the selling part.

How to sell at the DOUBLE UP price of 0.01 sen?
Buy and wait for BUY Q to jump to 0.01 sen?
Or buy 2 tonnes of pomelo leaves and then mandi every day and then HOPE and PRAY that a sell order at 0.01 sen be executed. tongue.gif

Wait ... sometimes Q to buy stocks have some funny strange results...
we could Q to buy 1,000,000 shares at 0.005.... (lol.. yeah...can buy one million shares la)
but then....
all we got 'lucky' was only 20,000 shares.....
errr....  rclxub.gif
and oh yeah..... 12.6 BILLION shares only.....  rclxub.gif  rclxub.gif  rclxub.gif
*
Think it will take ages for it to get the 0.005 and will take "few years" (actually few months) to get your 2x.

But permitting time, one may suffer losses on timing and the advantage to buy other shares at low prices while one is stuck getting the 0.01 queue executed.

And yes 12.6 billion, in fact there are Board of Directors who owns 9 figure shares sum in their accounts, usually will leave at break-even which in this case, 0.01.

And finally Bursa is taking all things serious of a "SME Board". To cut things short, I can see this as a legalized gambling den for speculation. Perhaps a listing of Lowyat.net will be coming near soon?

Just want to ask. Are you guys short term or long term investor?
How long do you hold your positions?
*
Depending on what is the nature of an investor?

For me, I do a mix of day trading and pattern day trading, will not disclose what stocks that I have done in the past but I have hold counters for a few ticks for as long as 10-20 seconds before. Of course, there are some stocks that I do hold long term.

The question is not about whether one is a short or long term investor, but it is how one manages the investment right. icon_rolleyes.gif

why the bolded statement?
*
Because that was in the past. Pure gambling only, simply hantam stocks not limited to SCNWOLF and the infamous SGB-WA run up last year. All pure speculation. icon_rolleyes.gif

However, at the moment, I am looking at UMW, DRB-Hicom, ICON, UEMS and EKOWOOD. But those are purely suggestions, not really that I may go in. Done with UMW after profit taking. Might re-enter later. wink.gif

personally I tend to avoid companies that are risky esp automotive and airline as these are not commodities that people must live on. esp with the rise of funds for public transportation, I can forsee car sales will not be healthy.

my two cents.
*
Yup I do get the notion.

For me, short term play, no harm going in but not say 5 years down the road. Long term play, definitely not proven good. My relatives had DRB-Hicom from the 2000s at 2.50ish. When it went up to 3 in 2012, told them to sell off and take profit as the Proton deal was just temporary and the technical indicators point to an extremely overbought condition, said that the stock can go 4 and only 2015, sold it at around 1.90. If we go back to the late-90s, it was 5+, what happened now?

Today? 1.18. Same goes to Air Asia and infamously AAX. Only good riding the stocks when it is warm, get out when it is hot. UMW is because their automotive sector has been profitable but not their O&G business, DRB-Hicon due to the upcoming tie-up with a foreign partner.

Even so, you cannot look at just the news but the financial statements. Just my 0.005 profits, DRB failed to disclose the losses in Proton, hence making the judgement even harder. But in the end, I do not call the shots. All investors fight and determine the price equilibrium when setting the price.
