For me, Vivocom is a goreng stock for trading or speculation only. The earnings are weak and it is volatile.

I sold off YeeLee and Elsoft today and most of Yinson as well. I will try and sell off more counters in the coming weeks.

I added Johotin to my portfolio for mid to long term investment. Also added MMSV for short term goreng. Will decide whether to add NHFatt to my portfolio.

I also did a visit ala Peter Lynch style to Genting Highlands last week. I am impressed. The place was packed with tourists. The old and tired look is gone. The new Sky Avenue Mall, the Skyway Cable Car, Sky Casino and the coming attractions like the 20th Century Fox World Genting has really changed things. See http://blog.malaysia-asia.my/2015/11/20th-...ld-genting.html

I think Genting shares will be re-rated in the future. I will be adding my existing shares in Genting if the price dip.

In contrast, I am not sure about turnaround stocks like Parkson. The Parkson in KLCC and Pavilion looks quite dead even on weekends. The Parkson stores in China are suffering because consumers shop online. We shall see whether Parkson survive this onslaught.

You are referring to stocks bro? Nothing interesting for now.

I bought some Carlsberg stock today. Don't ask me why. I saw it has gone down 1% these 2 days and paying RM0.65 dividend. Beli sajalah.

I also topped up MPI today. May top up KESM tomorrow if it continue to dip. ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

Observe SCC first tomorrow. Maybe still have some upside? At least the fundamental and valuation of SCC is better than Seacera, a pure goreng stock which went up by 12.17% today.

I don't think it is worth it unless you really hate reading investment books on your own. How much is the course BTW?

Rm19xx something. You read books or you dive in straight?

WTH. With that type of price, we can buy 20 books on value investing. I started reading books on personal finance and then moved on to investment books.

Diving in straight would be committing harakiri.

Yes. Quite expensive. RM 1988. But then if anyone join before can tell me if it's more useful than reading books alone?
Thanks for your advice! I not yet join, now I doubt I will joinย  notworthy.gif

IMHO, you should buy 1 or 2 books on value investing first. Read it and see if you can understand and apply it to practice.

Some people do better reading books while others need a mentor/teacher to teach them. Just a thought.

I have doubt with books because I'm afraid some sections of those books from US may only apply to US stock market. Does this happen to be the case?
Can these two books be apply in our market? Thanks for your guidanceย  notworthy.gif

I guess you are from Generation Y? Then you need a newer book. Try 'Rule #1: The Simple Strategy for Successful Investing in Only 15 Minutes a Week! by Phil Town.

It is worth its weight in gold.

Good luck mate.
