QUOTE(gark @ Feb 9 2017, 12:18 AM) Not really, you will run out of fertile land sooner or later. I just read an article, world phosphate reserve which is essential for fertilizer will run out in 50 years. So far is no alternative. Scary eh? Weird, pricing wise phosphate is still relatively cheap due to redundant supplies . Maybe you mean potash fertiliser?market price showing sharp increase in recent years |

QUOTE(yhtan @ Feb 17 2017, 09:26 AM) Read recent news that Najib close with China has cause CPO export to China increase a lot The main catalyst actually is the weak MYR that have provide better substitution to Soya bean oil. This could be the catalyst for CPO price up beside weather issue When MYR weakened a lot like this, buyer suddenly found that CPO is very cheap in term of USD. Najib meet China need see the RBD export data, if the export volume to china doesn't change a lot means 2016 have bad CPO production year for most of planting companies , however 2017 should have much more better production. Don't take my analyse too seriously, later bring u guys to holland |

QUOTE(Vanguard 2015 @ Feb 17 2017, 06:16 PM) Boss, kalau ikut hati saya, saya taruh semua growth stock. See your total fund lo and your risk appetite. But at last, I don't have the balls to do it. Otherwise I sai lang Pestech, Press Metal, Classic Scenic, Ta Ann, Protasco, Inari Amertron, etc. So I am sticking with so called "blue chip" stocks for now. Let me learn how to crawl first before I walk and then I will run. Some people have 100k spare for investment want split to 3 stocks. some have 1 million diversify to 3 stocks. some have 10million also diversify to 3 stocks. if you asking this question, I think u not really sure what are u doing, then I suggest hentam many, at least one gone burst you wont be that pain |

QUOTE(lowya @ Feb 20 2017, 12:31 PM) https://klse.i3investor.com/blogs/kltrader/116241.jspsome research from Macquarie research The share price of Bumi Armada (BAB) surged 8.2% to close at RM0.725 on Friday, halting its 2-days of losses. The share price jump followed news of the arrival of its Armada Kraken floating, production, storage and offering (FPSO) vessel at the Kraken field in the UK North Sea. The vessel is currently on station and is securely moored. Following this, Macquarie Equities Research (MQ Research) wrote a report on BAB, expressing their positive views on the announcement while maintaining their “Outperform” rating. Event BAB announced that its Armada Kraken FPSO has arrived at the Kraken field in the UK North Sea. The hook-up of the Submerged Turret Production buoy mooring system to the FPSO was completed on 15th February and a full rotation test performed so that the vessel is now on station and securely moored. Commissioning work will continue on the topsides and the client, EnQuest PLC (ENQ LN), expects delivery of first oil is on track for 2Q 2017. Impact MQ Research are positive on the announcement: (i) the Armada Kraken FPSO looks on track to achieve its first oil in Apr17, within MQ Research’s expectations; and (ii) with a daily charter rate of US$440,000-450,000, MQ Research expect the Armada Kraken FPSO charter to contribute significantly to BAB's free cash flow and 10% of 17-18E revenue. To recap, Armada Kraken FPSO is chartered to EnQuest for its Kraken project for US$1.4bn over a 8-year firm charter period, with 17 annual extension option worth US$0.9bn. Action and recommendation Maintain Outperform. This is MQ Research’s second positive update on BAB's FPSO projects, following Eni SpA's recent announcement on the commissioning of production at Angola East Hub Project, where Armada Olombedo FPSO is deployed. Overall, MQ Research expect the commissioning of three new FPSOs in 1Q-2Q17 to lift 17-18E FCF/EV to 9%-10%, thereby re-rating the share price. Source: Macquarie Research - 20 Feb 2017 I guess Investor still looking more catalyst to boost the Armada's Earning. |

QUOTE(gark @ Feb 20 2017, 01:28 PM) I have been an investor in Armada for quite some time...basically this is what i see.. Points noted especially number 4 1. Earnings has been dragged down by their OSV division and also write down of assets (especially OSV). 2. Ongoing dispute and law suit for Armada Claire, which leads to loss of income and write down of FPSO. 3. Actually their FPSO division is quite healthy, as long as their customers abide by contract. 4. Positive catalyst is better utilization from their OSV and winning the A. Claire lawsuit. |
