Welcome bro. I am also a new player. Pending the reply from the sifus, please have a look at my siggy and do some further research. Please take out OldTown (overvalued now), Air Asia (volatile) and Ta Ann (downtrend).

Have a look at GENTING, TENAGA and Nestle if you want something "safe", i.e. the last to fall.

Gadang the Gajah finally turned green. Ta Ann is inching upwards. Spike in the price of KESM, Air Asia and Mitra. Profit for Old Town at 41.03%.
Cocoland dropped until -2.510% .

I will probably sell off MMSV next Monday. It was supposed to be a short term trading.

About 1 month plus...but it it only a small portion of my portfolio. No time to top up when it suddenly spiked.

When is or was Nestle's AGM?

Bro, I think I highlighted KESM before it spiked. I bought it on 6th March 2017 and tripled my investment on 10th March 2017 when its accounts came out. Currently my ROI is at 13.581%. Even today it has gone up 5.64%. The potential upside left now is only about 4.8%. Of course it may go up much higher than that (but it would be overvalued then).

Thus IMHO, it is the wrong time and the wrong price to buy it now. There is no margin of safety. There are other stocks out there with good fundamentals and much better upside potential to buy.

Just my personal 2 cents as usual. No right or wrong answer. If you think it can still go up higher than 10%, then please go ahead.

Transaction for the day

1. Sold off MMSV by contra trading today. Profit at around 11.18%. It spiked to about 15.8% at 1.00 p.m. but I was too greedy to let go.

2. Added SCGM to my portfolio today. It is up 2.15% today. The potential upside left is about 4.4% to 17.8% depending on which analyst you believe. This will be part of my long term investment portfolio.

3. Gadang is a puzzle to me. The fundamentals look great and its wholly owned subsidiary Gadang Engineering was awarded the MRT2 project worth about RM950 million recently. It is trading at a discount but the share price is still down about -1.54% today. :confused:

4. Ta Ann - it is inching upwards. I may sell it off soon.

No catalyst bro. Just based on my own calculation and tikam-tikam. The fundamentals are OK. Some analysts say it is fairly valued and one say it is undervalued.

We shall see how it perform.
