I saw my friend using it. It's sleek, very user friendly, it just takes time to be familiar with the new GUI.

Imho, it's better than its prev version.

The new GUI is sleek though might need some extra learning curve as the interface is quite different.

But functionality wise, it's been improved and suits my needs very much.

All the buttons are now in a glance. Plus i use a lot of keyboard shortcuts hence less clicks per task achieved biggrin.gif

Negative, darkwonder hmm.gif

My office rig is way below yours, ie, amd barton 2600+ with 320Mb ram.

Running smoothly. Load time hardly different from ms office 2003.

Same case with opening either .doc or .docx files

Pal, I think u need to tidy up ur software cluttering from within cool2.gif

i tested the software. Lots of new improvement.

One of the cool ones, I use excel a lot. Previously, sorting is alphabetical.

Now, you can sort by cell COLOUR!. tongue.gif

I wonder why they still stick with previous GUI on the Publisher, Visio, and Project. I use Visio extensively and felt kindda weird when everything has a neat ribbon and sleek GUI, but not the 3 mentioned above.

Another minor annoyance that i notice is that it kindda lag when open office files from previous versions. No doubt, opening .docx, .pptx files are quick, but it seems like Office 2007 has to "convert" old versions before they can open them.

On the other hand, i love the new Outlook. No need to set incoming and outgoing server anymore! It was so "automatic" smile.gif

Before that can I install the trial and direct purchase the original cd-key when it release and activate it? Because I lazy to re-install.

Yeah, I think darkwonder's PC has got some problem. My P4 2.8 rig running Office 2007 really smooth now, you got to be worried!

You probably have a lot of background stuff running or infected with spyware.

I tested on 3 machines :
a) 2.8Ghz Desktop with 1GB Ram
b) 1.8Ghz laptop with 512 MB
c) 1.6Ghz Desktop with 256 MB ram

All running quite smoothly, laptop, which is slowest, but probably due to lots of things that laptop needs to load, ( I suspect Bluetooth and all those Dell management softwares)
