QUOTE(zeng @ Jul 3 2016, 07:05 PM) well, msian graduates from the uk are now exempted from resident market labour test so essentially, we are on equal footing with the locals+ eu. So yea, if the eu docs are less inclined to pursue speciality training post fy2 together with the "unfavourable" junior doc contract, opportunities will definitely come. So, we will see how the new government deals with Brexit with the new PM. |

QUOTE(mayforeveryoung @ Aug 16 2017, 09:21 PM) I have just gone to apply my UK T2 Visa at MCA Visa Centre. Process is so fast honestly I don't think you require premium lounge service, it looks like there is someone outside to audit all the documents I need to submit for the application. The photos are not required because they will take it in biometric room. Ah will be at Leicester for the time being. if youre coming down, give me a heads up. Going Nottingham to work soon. Anyone around that area let's meet up for a cup of tea Potential working at Notts next year as well. |

QUOTE(BabyCelin @ Aug 23 2017, 05:57 AM) Another question is did you all perform any general health screening or chest X-ray other than x-ray for TB test? depends on uni and course, some may require you to fill in a health questionnaire regarding your previous immunisation as above such as hep b, mmr and etc. For me, i just filled it in and the uni aka occupational health for medicine did the remaining immunisation necessary. Otherwise, just the TB test for me in Malaysia. |

QUOTE(ConfusedWriter @ Sep 4 2018, 04:52 PM) Thanks for the suggestion @touristking. The MMR is part of your childhood immunisation. Also, regarding vaccination, I’ve had the MMR (measles, mumps, rubella) vaccination once when I was little (when I was a year old I think). Do I still need to get another dose? If you have completed 2 doses of MMR and has proven records, it shouldn't be a problem. Otherwise, I recommend getting tested for antibodies/have the booster dose anyways. (You can do this at your GP) |

QUOTE(ConfusedWriter @ Sep 4 2018, 02:37 PM) Ah okay, thanks! Most private hospitals +/- clinics should be able to offer the vaccine. But I'm not sure myself. |

QUOTE(issac96 @ Jul 26 2020, 12:43 PM) Hi guys, I received an offer from University of Bristol. I am happy, but in these unprecedented times, is it suitable to go? Also I’m facing hardship as not much scholarships are available to fund my studies. I’ll be very grateful is someone can advise me on this matter: Should I go? Is there any funding opportunities like scholarship? What course are you going into so we can try and advise specific scholarships/funding (if any) |
