I'm folding. Are you?

I have a pretty old pc, and i can't get a new one. I'm still in school, so basically my dad won't allow it. But he'll let me upgrade it. My motherboard is a KT4AV, by MSI. I checked, and the best processor i can get is an AMD 3000+ xp. Is it worth getting and then overclocking to try and get as much speed as possible from this motherboard?
My video card is FX5200 and i have 1GB kingston ram, so those two should be decent enough.
Thanks for any help.

XD i'm a total noob at overclocking, so I don't really know what's involved, which is why i'm here to ask before i destroy my own pc.
My pc was good la...3 years ago. My dad will only let me upgrade it limitedly, so i cannot just go out and buy a few k worth of cpu and vid card. Max is probably 1k for both vid card and processor. Of course, if it's not worth it or impossible to squeeze much more out of this system, then i give up la until i can afford to get my own pc.

Hmm, ok, thanks guys. I guess this pc is whacked then. I'll start saving up, hopefully, eventually, i can afford a new one in the future.
