no need to do like that. just learn to calculate your FC.
my FC = 9km/L in town. so after actual fuel indicator blinking at 32L, i can extend about 3L (until 35L max) about 3L x 9km/L = 27km. i can but i wouldn't do that. the lowest indicator i pump is when the fuel indicator lit up. not lower than that.
btw, remind you that IF you always pump when fuel tank is nearly empty, you are risking your fuel pump rosaked ealier than you expected.
when i pump tank full, 32L * 9km/L = 270km. so i should expect the yellow indicator lit up when mileage reaching 270km. if not, i assume the fuel indicator playing gag on me

my fuel indicator play gag usually at my house area because i am staying at hill side. the indicator will drop 1 bar when downhill, and rise up 1 bar if going uphill.

to correct again, when going downhill, should go uphill again or vice versa.
ur FC should be : 370km / 27L = 13.70km/L
so if actual yellow light indicator : 32L x 13.70km/L = 438.4km
remind you that FC is diff when 100% town driving. mixed town/highway driving, and 100% highway driving. fyi, my 100% highways driving is roughly 13.5km/L compare to 9km/L 100% town driving
my round trip to work is 60km. Based on that calculation i can try drive another round trip make it 440km for 32L of petrol
give me one day extra no need to petrol station... lazy
