QUOTE(n3w @ Jul 9 2016, 12:15 PM) Habis liao, wa gune 'Brembo' How is the Brembo pads compared to the stock pads? I am thinking of getting the Brembo brake pads for my Saga too, although it will take a while for my stock pads to wear out.

QUOTE(n3w @ Jul 11 2016, 09:30 PM) Quite okay for me. Less brake dusts too. Recently screeching sound bugs me though replaced it last October. Still finding the cause though, but at the time being leaving it as it is. For pads that cost three times of that of the stock pads, that doesn't sound convincing for me to buy Brembo pads . How about the bite or pedal feel? My stock pads bite, but it is just that I would like for it to bite more without pushing the pedal deeply in. Any suggestions?

QUOTE(wankel @ Jul 13 2016, 01:36 PM) That's what I wanted when I bought Daisy so I whacked on a set of the cheapest pads I could buy, they were Protex Blue but since it's an imported to Australia item you'll have to work wonders to find where they really come from. Anyway they did exactly what I wanted and bit harder with less pedal force, hopefully will cause less wear on the rotors as well. More expensive pads and racing pads are designed for repeated heavy applications which massage the buyers egos but for road use there's really no such thing as repeated heavy use, plus the extra fancy things those "superior" pads use are good for wearing out the rotors. [attachmentid=7078890] These were sold as fitting a Daewoo (kalos?) which I correctly figured would fit Daisy, Saga's being far too rare to be able to quickly and cheaply shop around for. Thanks for the reply, wankel. Well, I doubt I will find Protex Blue here, but once my pads are worn, I will try another brand of brake pads like you did.

Normal? Imagine wat it wld b like @60k Km... ps. Mayb it was our Gaga petrol tank quality...poor inner coating/protection...? Or our fuel...reacting with it? Honestly..never saw fuel like this in my ole Saga 1.5I after 20+ years!! Whoa, it's dark like that with only 40k km?! I'm gonna change my fuel filter soon too, haha How old is your car by the way? Does your car feel any different? Like easier starting maybe?

QUOTE(nujikabane @ Jul 31 2016, 12:54 PM) Pls confirm, Saga BLM (make 2010) stock tyre size. Is it 185/60R14? You could've Googled this, here's a link: http://www.wheel-size.com/size/proton/saga/2010/Do you know your trim level? If it's the low trim, then it's the 175/70/R13, the mid trim gets 185/60/R14.

QUOTE(AMenzZ @ Aug 26 2016, 12:38 AM) Currently using fbk rear drum brake pads/shoes, no complaint, just my front brake pads (Perfect xxx brand) giving out metallic sound when mid-hard brake.. Tried some generic brand of fuel injector cleaner, surprisingly engine idle smoother, steering lesser vibration at idle.. will keep observing.. still running on the mixture Mind stating the brand name? Is it one of the branded ones like 3M or Caltex Techron fuel system cleaners or the cheap ones you find in MR DIY? Think I might pour one in even though I don't personally think they won't help much.
