Hi Everyone! Welcome to the new thread!

My PR status is still pending but I've changed to a new employment with new E-pass and better salary.

What should I do next? I heard I need to fill up the Annex A from Form 4A again right?
*
you can email them at ICA_Feedback@ica.gov.sg together with your application ID and state that you've changed job.

That's what the officer at the counter told me when i was applying. smile.gif

TQ. Had a quick look in propertyguru, Archipelago and Eastwood Regency macam within my budget. Any opinions on either one? Need a place for one jer. TQ in advance.
*
Archipelago is quite far from the MRT though. You'll need to take a bus to the station.
Tampines is also another common/popular place on the East West line.

That's quite low compared to KL. Cost of living is indeed lower in SG?

QUOTE(fruitie @ Dec 17 2015, 02:55 PM)
Dollar to dollar comparison, the only thing expensive in SG is rental. Food wise is pretty affordable. I only go SG for holidays and so far I find their food is cheap. laugh.gif
Is this correct, guys?
*
If you're earning SGD, yes, other than rental, everything else is quite cheap comparing dollar to dollar in MY.
That's what i felt. laugh.gif

You can get your own line but would require permission from the landlord...
each fibre point has 2 ports so a household can get 2 broadband line...

I'm using my own also since i play online game a lot and i couldn't bear the lag laugh.gif

If anybody is into gaming and watch alot on twitch, avoid starhub at all costs. Their routing is horrible and you will only get medium quality.
*
I'm using M1 and for gaming, seems ok when i'm playing on the America server...
but for Twitch, usually it's medium and high or sometimes lucky, source which sometimes is higher quality than high biggrin.gif

maybe if really need good streaming, should get the gamer's package since they say better routing?
but too costly for me sweat.gif

Hahahaha I think its my mistake. Initially I only keyed in bedok reservoir but later I had the "road". I guess bedok reservoir and reservoir road does make a difference. Thanks for your help truely appreciate it.
*
would be more accurate if you enter your block no.
you'll need to take into account of traffic jam which might increase the travel time.

oh thanks. How about morning, how bad is the delay? Perhaps I would opt for bus then MRT in the morning, and after work perhaps i'll just take the bus. Kinna lazy to walk lol
*
I'm not sure bout your case but for mine, I'm working at Toa Payoh.
MRT was a faster alternative even though my route was Bus > Bedok MRT > Paya Lebar (to circle line) > Bishan (to red line) than taking a direct bus all the way to my office.
The difference was more than 10 minutes and it gets worse with jam.
Jam was kinda random and not consistent for my case.

Though i still take the bus when going back due to lazy and tired laugh.gif

Yeap, my wife will follow me to work here as well. She has her own profession in medical line which is very easy for her to secure a job.
At least stay here for 2 years, if we like it here of course stay here permanently and eventually build our family here.
Else just go back to boleh land if still has chance to go back  biggrin.gif

Honestly, 4.1k is quite low. Usually the case would be 1 to 1 conversion or around 20% decrement.
Unless the total you mention is not your basic pay. Usually companies will only take your basic pay into account.
That's what I faced before.

titarium That was what the employer said, because I am a fresh graduate with no experience at all. Then again, the company is small/medium. Is it alright for a fresh start? Staying long term at relatives' place also might feel paiseh right? Hahaha

deodorant Doesn't that put me at a very low starting pay then? Lol. The accommodation would be the killer and make a bulk of the $1k.
JohnJon82 Where did you rent the 600 for single room? Thought most rooms were around 700~800 excluding bills :/
*
Depends on area actually for rooms, I'm currently renting at 700, single common room including bills...with air con at night...

Those SG fresh grads really asking too much...that's all i can comment laugh.gif

Hmm but I have the letter saying that the EP is approved and I even did medical check up (pay first claim later) already wo shocking.gif

Just that my boss still hasn't given me the offer letter to sign..  cry.gif

So I guess nothing I can do besides waiting?  hmm.gif
*
on the positive side, you've already got your IPA...this proves that your current company already applied EP for you...
I guess you can only wait and ask for status whenever possible smile.gif

since you already did your medical check up, can do the claim now as a "reminder" to your boss/HR rolleyes.gif

so no extra charges...
so..im not sure yet... whether its correct or not...need to ask first ba
*
He's correct. You'll need to add additional $10 for that month to be able to use the service...
Source

Not sure about the rate for other countries but for Malaysia, it's cheaper to just buy data on the local sim card smile.gif

Add: Just remember something, for Japan, it's actually worth it as the local tourist sim card with just data already cost $45 for just 14 days usage with 3.5GB limit...
