Anyone here use motorbike to transit between the 2 causeways daily? How's the experience like?
*
Experience? If office hours like me, surely be tired. Morning out from house at 5a.m. and evening time guaranteed stuck in jam around 1 - 2 hours. Not to mention inhaling all the fumes and smokes from all other bikes when you stuck in the jam, and if it's raining well bad news. But still i choose to ride in daily hmm.gif

really depends on how much you value your time and health. there is a price to everything.
*
yeap, that's true, but for me this just a temporary, as my job here in jurong island is until the project was done, and i'm away for other jobs nod.gif

but really, riding bike in and out singapore daily for office hours takes around 4 hours, just to go and back from work, and sometimes longer, depends the situation at the immigration.. last time i don't know what happen, the jam stuck almost 3 hour to get past on the evening sad.gif

you go by Tuas? Tuas jam is crazy because they have less counters. For me, If start work at 9am, I just need to leave home at 6:30am. When go back, I agree the Jam is crazy. Because they have lesser counters when going out compare to coming in. Leave office at 6pm, reach causeway at 6:30pm. Usually will only cross around 8-8:30pm. But its just a personal choice. has been doing this for the past 5 years and used to it already. No big deal.
*
nope, i go by Woodlands checkpoint as i live in Larkin.. Morning jam is not as bad as evening jam.. normally morning stuck around 20 - 30 minutes... i'm off from office at 7pm, reach checkpoint at 7.30pm, but usually will only reach home around 9pm. Yeah, getting used to it nod.gif

Its important for SG to get to you to work on time for their economy. After you done your contribution end of the day, you are on your own back to your country. Now you know why the 2 journey duration are different, sad right?
*
haha, yeah agree with that.. flex.gif

SG can always reclaim land, do 3 storey exit building expansion, put in more road, more counter more ICA people if they wanted to. Look what they done to Marina Bay. Always the cost benefit ratio.
*
let's say they do that, they might facing crisis as their people will always come to Malaysia for shopping or buy property, and even staying in Malaysia as much cheaper due to currency exchange won't they? icon_rolleyes.gif

they won't do that. Their aim is to reduce the number of vehicles in SG. They prefer to build MRT for us to commute rather than increase the check point capacity.
*
Exactly. Remember Tun Mahathir's plan The Crooked Bridge? Wasn't Singapore never did approved the plan?

Nice. So how you got the job? The recruiter find your profile or you apply it by yourself?
*
I apply by myself, then one day they emailed me a questionnaire, and I have to answer it, just like an exam paper but they already said there maybe have no right or wrong answer. Guess they want to see how i answer it, then the next day they called me to come over to their office for interview, and there's another test there. Right after the test they asked me to have a tea and around 30 minutes later they come to me and said they will get ready the offer letter for few minutes.

but i'm not sure about sakra road? jurong island? @.@
is jurong shipyard really that big?
*
jurong shipyard is at the front section of the island, near the checkpoint, mine is almost at the end of the island.. I ride my bike following the speed limit there (70km/h) from the island checkpoint would take around 7 minutes with all green traffic lights.. laugh.gif
