AS per topic, has anyone tried upgrading the system to Win 10 yet?
I already received the notification that the upgrade is ready on both devices.
I tried googling but no one seems to have upgraded to official Win 10 (only preview versions were reported).

If you're planning to upgrade you'll be the first then laugh.gif
If your devices meets the minimum requirement for running Windows 10, I'm pretty sure there won't be any problem.
I upgraded mine from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10, and as far as I can tell, Windows 10 has a slightly smaller RAM usage than Windows 8.1.
That's said, Windows 10 improves performance of your system laugh.gif

But that's just from my experience, I can't guarantee same thing will happen.

I also noticed the tag 'get ready for Windows 10' in the website too: http://us.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/series/aspireswitch10
So that means it's upgradeable icon_rolleyes.gif

Good to hear, for my switch 10...
Still uncertain for my miix 2 8, which I use as daily tab. The switch 10 remains at home most of the time.

Will Windows 10 TP work on Lenovo Miix 2 8 tablet?

I have a Lenovo Miix 2 8 tablet and I was wondering if the Windows 10 Technical Preview would work on it? Has anybody tried it? I have installed it on a HP TouchSmart tm2 Core2 Duo and it has no problems but it does have a 500G drive to play with. The Miix has only 32G :-(

It works well, I've now been using it ever since the TP became public. Of course, as it is a preview, there are hiccups and some weird stuff. But it WORKS pretty well! I'm actually writing this from it biggrin.gif
Because it's a tablet and most tablet features aren't yet implemented as far as I see, it is not as usable as one yet when comparing to Windows 8.1. For example I used to read a lot of eBooks on this but now 4 of the 5 reading apps I got don't work. Barnes & Noble Nook app works nicely, though, and from the top left corner you can go fullscreen BUT when sliding from top or bottom, app bars don't open. The only solution to that is to go to start screen, then desktop, and then from the top left menu open app commands.
Battery life is good, but about half an hour less than with 8.1. Otherwise it is good!
I should've set this to dual boot...

Thanks, I saw it too. But it's talking about the technical preview version and didn't find any updated post (the original post was over a year ago) on the official win 10,

Official one is better than the technical preview, because of they might have fixed the bugs and problems during the technical preview. icon_rolleyes.gif

True. However the official list from lenovo (of devices compatible with win 10) does not include miix 2 8.
I am a bit cautious, since this model has intermittent touchscreen issue; who knows what it will do.

Hmm... I see
I found a user that already upgraded his OS to Windows 10 asking a solution to his touchscreen problem.
Since Lenovo doesn't put it in the list, there should have a risk since it's touchscreen.
If you're already satisfied with the current OS, you don't need to.
Just a note, you can revert back to Windows 8 after your upgrade as long as it's within a month.
I admit it myself, Windows 10 is still full of bugs sad.gif
