QUOTE(Perunding @ Jan 7 2011, 09:59 AM) A question if u buy 1000w PSU, u can under use it right? such as 1000w psu but only use GPU that required 650w only. It ok right? want to buy 1000w for future use. Sure, why not? Your PSU will re-adjust itself to match the power consumption though. A decent and beefy PSU is very good for future-proofing and overclocking.

QUOTE(TechnoG @ Jan 15 2011, 11:00 AM) not avoid CM, but this only applies to some of their PSUs. CM GX, CM eXtreme Power, CM Silent Pro GOLD 800W. Wait. CM Silent Pro Gold is bad?

QUOTE(zoejehuty @ Jan 15 2011, 11:07 AM) i cant really find about the spec of the FSP saga PSU. anyone got the full link of it? and mind to know why avoid some of the CM PSU as what you said? 1. CM GX PSU are true power, but they have high power ripple. 2. CM EPP, not true power. Other PSU like Silent Pro/Real Power Pro/UCP is OK.

QUOTE(TristanX @ Jan 15 2011, 11:32 AM) Hmmm, try Silverstone Strider Plus 750W(RM499). This is highly rated PSU. It will be more than enough for it. But the price is the same leh....

QUOTE(benl40 @ Feb 1 2011, 08:19 AM) My friend's PSU just died, and was sent for RMA, just want to know, what PSU should he get for a Phenom 955, 4G ram, 2 WD black, 1 DVD drive, 4890, and Xonar D2X, 5 fans? According to AMD website, 4890 requires a 500W PSU. Why don't consider Silverstone Strider 500W/Seasonic S12II 520W/FSP Saga II 500W?

Try getting FSP Saga II 500W for RM165 or Silverstone ST50-F for RM210.

I think the Seasonic Silence Pro 500W is better, due to higher efficiency. BTW both PSUs are good.

QUOTE(carnine9 @ Jun 2 2011, 06:55 PM) how about AVF PSU 450 Watt, ( true power tulis bawah sekali 430W ), Can't i get to put GC Card , ATI 256MB avg mobo ? Its PSU not blow ? Sorry noob... Are you really sure that PSU has 430W true power? Take a photo and let me have a look, just to be sure. Don't skimp on PSU. Get a reliable one like the Gigabyte PoweRock 390W for RM69 or Gigabyte N400A PSU for RM100. Cheap PSUs usually don't have protection features like Over Current Protection (OCP) and Over Voltage Protection (OVP). What AMD card are you talking about? QUOTE(bahrin @ Jun 5 2011, 01:18 AM) can CM silent pro 600w support cross fire gigabyte hd 6870 OC x2? Since the Silent Pro M600W has 480W on its +12V rails, and two 6870 should consumes about approximately 430W, it should be OK.
