splurge as much money as you can afford on your psus, it will last through multiple upgrades, and also lasts you a few years. So splurge as much as you can afford! Why would you buy a psu that is just right for your system, and during the next upgrade, you suddenly feel, shit my psu is not enough, then u'll have to upgrade your psu along.

might want to take that statement back as psu's can go as expensive as rm2k+ per psu. (lol watercooled PSU's)

So splurge as much as you can afford, means, if it's a ridiculous price like 2k obviously don't get it. What I am talking about is like if it's like is if you can pay 20 - 30% more why not? Psus are usually overlooked by most people. But they are really important, in my opinion. I used to have this cheap psu that comes with the case, after 1 year, one of the wires for some reason melted, and then it somehow touch the motherboard, and my whole pc would not start and at that time, it was my final semester, and I was in a rush to hand in some projects, but luckily, i backup my files in gmail, or i'd be stressed to death. So conclusion: Don't skimp, a dead power supply can be deadly!
