Need some advice

My system
C2D E6550
Intel G33 mainboard
2x 1GB DDR2 RAM
2 hard disk, 2 fan

I currently have an Acbel 450W PSU
Combined 12v rail output 25 Amps

Can that PSU take a 9800GT or 9800GTX+ on my system ?

I think the 98 GTX+ pulls about 13-14 amps, but I'm not sure how much amps the other components use on the 12v rail.. and also how good this Acbel PSU is, though it does weight heavy and cost my RM300 plus when I bought it some time ago.

Thank you notworthy.gif

First of all, thanks for the replies

Its easy, you can calculate the power consume by your h/w and then look for a PSU that have a sufficient 12V rail output for you.
I have update the calculation on 1st page

C2D E6550
Intel G33 mainboard
2x 1GB DDR2 RAM
2 hard disk, 2 fan
9800GT or 9800GTX+

Your current PSU 12V output is 300W, if your setup need more than that, then you need to change to a higher output PSU.
Simple as that smile.gif

You mean, most of the system power is being used from the 12v rails?
