tongue.gif  tongue.gif got it, was rushing to take pic just now before everyone went offline lol. shall keep the mod standing.. btw how do you guys carry it around ? just put inside pocket is fine right ?
i see, have to start watching youtube video to learn first.. just now when i ask the boss how long the coil can last before it need to be change, they say use until you can feel the burning smell. so thats the standard practice? lol

The ipv4s stays at home. Too heavy and cumbersome to carry about. I just put an evic mini, tank, small dripper, bottle of juice and 1 spare batt in my waist pouch's side pockets.

I've helped out at a friend's vape shop on occasion...and seen some very terrible tanks/drippers come in for rebuilding. Some tanks have black gunk at the bottom, sloshing about (and the customer STILL says, "Simpan itu jus ya? Jangan buang!". Some drippers' internals look like someone had a very oily BBQ in there. Eeeeeyuck filthy filthy buggers! If the vapor production drops off, or the flavor starts to feel different, pls service your device. Don't wait for burning smells to appear!

i see, so the best way is to learn how to service yourself, its a good thing to do at night, a small time killer and to keep my hand busy, and also the satisfaction of self servicing. like building own rig. thumbup.gif

Yes indeed it is most satisfying. When you get a coil looking nice and neat, and your good wicking ensures u got no leaks, the vape u take is even more enjoyable!

A few pointers off the top of my sleepy head:

As u r new, I recommend u read post #1 of this thread on "Guide to Vape Safe!!". Battery safety is important, even though u r using a regulated mod. Heck, read everything in post #1 if u have the time. Knowledge is power!

Only use a non-conductive tool like ceramic tweezers to pinch coils while firing the mod. If u use metal pliers, do not pinch while firing..u don't want short circuits.

Use a quality unbleached cotton for wicking. I use 2 pairs of scissors: longer barber scissors to cut cotton strips, and a shorter pair which is slightly curved for trimming purposes. I'm very fussy on my wicks (and coils). tongue.gif

Check out the Shopee app for yr smartphone (dl from google play). Some retailers are giving 30% off up to a max of RM30. U can also find reasonably-priced build materials and tools there.

Check out www.fasttech.com . Very affordable vape stuff from China with free registered mail shipping for purchases of USD20 or more.

Eeeh ????

But ....But....

My Vaping Grandmaster told me that the proper mantra should be....

"Ohm...mani padmi Ohm........

Ohm..mari , Ohm's Law...mari.

Ikut Ohm,,,,ikut Ohmmm

Nanti Ohmmm jadi ...Boooom"

Ahh...I see u were taught the mantra for vaping safety nod.gif

That's one of several important chants in the school of Vaperssana Meditation

But we need much more to combat the evil and corrupt forces which desire to see our coils grow cold and extinguished forever. The much-misguided Dr Semuabanmaniam and his henchman Hitmi Buaya are working their fiendish plot with demoniacal fevor!

WARNING : DO NOT DRY BURN Ti wire[COLOR=red].....the wire is designed to fail above it's max temperature....dry burning is NOT necessary to form tight coils. You can apply low heat to crimp your coils (micro) through "pulsing" your mod, or using a low temperature torch. However we generally recommend "spaced" coils to allow for maximum flavor and heat dispersion. To clean your coils, it is not necessary to dry burn (wire will turn white when it has failed)...simply brush the coils off under warm water, and they will be as good as new.

Speaking for myself, I don't even bother applying low heat to Ti coils. Clean the wire with some isopropyl alcohol before making a coil. Spaced Ti coils allows more accurate measurement of resistance by the mod, and are slower to gunk up compared to tight coils. Just install it, wick n juice it and vape away. Be warned: Ti is very springy and harder to work with than other coil wires.

Heathen! I bet Vaperssana Meditation teaches the way of the Trustfire and abide the word of Efest!

Oh misinformed and disgruntled one...we eschew the trappings and false wrappings of trustfire and efest. Those be the tools of deviant sects. Were you misled by such cylinders of shame? Harken to the true energy of LG Chem!

According to Vail, no and I hope not. Imma need to pay visit Thailand next month to research on the lady bois and some cobra whisky.
Never! You're false word will not lead me astray for we are the last of the Resistance. Arise warriors of Sony! The time has come for us to glow red as the Sun!

Go low and glow my Brethren!
You only burn them if you're doing a contact coil and need to pinch them. It doesn't have to be purple to be use.

The Sony sun has long set into the sea with a small sizzle. Thou art chanting fruitless hymns to a dead deity, oh misguided one. Beware the salvaged and recycled rewrapped ones. Don't vent...repent!

QUOTE(inexsis @ Nov 19 2015, 12:10 PM)
really ? demn.....
aiyak.....
so no  any vapor wire need to be burn until turn purple ?
demn.......
*
Some wires will initially turn a blue/purple when first pulsed. Unless u need to pinch a coil to make it tighter, and/or want to burn off any coatings/machine oil from a new wire, or want to clean a gunky coil (except for Ti wire), the color purple is of no significance vis-a-vis burning. Nor is it a prerequisite to usage.

any recommended place where i can buy them in shah alam or surrounding area ?
*
No idea about shah alam...but vape shops in SS15 carry them. However some places can charge a very high price (RM55-60 for 10m!)

Online prices are dropping though...suggest u look at Lelong.com.my
