Noted, thanks for the tips. Still learning post processing

Your cosplay gallery is great! Just a little too overexpose and too white for some pics. If the outdoor sun is too bright, use a flashlight (controlled, softbox of course) and high shutter speed.

So, what's your point?

Still doesn't answer his question.

I think because ts may have misunderstood 1670 to 2470. Otherwise why choose 2470 FF lens on a apsc when there is 1670?

Not sure if your intention is to have dynamic lighting to create shadow. If so, perhaps add reflector or soft lighting on her right side to create highlights so you can see the outline of her right portion.

Yea my intention is to hv shadow. I'm only using one lighting shining at her from her left. Thanks for the advise.

Lighting with dynamic shadow work on certain scene .......not so much for cute theme imo, haha.

Hi guys.
I am looking to buy a A6000 + SEL35F18.
So far I was offered RM3340 for the above combo.
Anyone here could hook me up a better deal?

Thanks.
*
Plus kit lens right? Cause i remember a6000 body only rm1900 and 35mm around rm1000+ (normally).

Hello.
Unfortunately no kit lens are bundled.
Well, seems have to press more for better price.
A6000 body = RM1999.
SEL35F18 = RM1339.
*
I remember somewhere one place offer rm1100 for 35mm.....unless i mistaken 50mm with 35mm. I think you should go survey more before buying. In fact why not up a bit and go for sigma 30mm 1.4.

35mm for RM1100? You meant used/secondhand unit right? hmm.gif  The standard price for a new one now should be around RM1.3k ~1.4k ish...  cool2.gif

@Jason18689 I also agreed with DaddyO, get the 30mm f1.4, wider both in FL and aperture as compared to sony 35mm f1.8.

If you want to get the 50mm f1.8 instead, sony has promo now. It is RM848 on shashinki.
The lens was RM1360 on KLDSLR.com, but after raya discount, it goes to 1339.60, so discount RM20++ only.  blush.gif But better than nothing. Too bad the E mount version is out of stock on lazada, or else can get RM100 discount with recent fireworks voucher.  brows.gif
*
Well guess i must have mistook 50mm with 35mm then. Then again, there can be big price difference of up to rm200 if you do some digging on (new) lens prices around retailers and a bit of haggling.

I am thinking like that too. I just worry later A7R III announce, then R II price drop, i will cry.
Because 1 thing i do need is 4K video for future proof. But when come to budget, i must make choice and sacrifice.
So, A7 ii might be the one suit me. What do u think A6300? is it full frame really a lot better then APS-C?
*
Don't think A7RIII going to come so soon with the Jap earthquake. But if you primarily want 4k, a6300 will be more than enough. Turns out, 4k FF img quality on A7RII is worse than Super 35mm mode which is almost equivalent to APSC size, some pixel technical reason. Some even suggested if you own A7RII, you might want to just switch to Super 35mm and use APSC lens instead. BUT, 4k in FF mode does have benefit in bokehness and wider shot but could be countered with equivalent lens on APSC cam.

Hi guys, do you think the A6000 is a good buy now?

I have been using RX100 for 3 years now and looking to upgrade to a mirrorless camera. RX100 has been serving me well but I require something more now.

I use my camera mostly for travel photo shooting so I need something with faster auto-focus, better night shot performance and better image stabilization. I will still need the camera to be compact as I am going to bring it around a lot.

Is there any other alternative that I should look at? My budget is around RM3K for body and lens.
*
Do realise bumping up to a6000 alone wont be much better than rx100. You need to pair it up with good lens, which is the appeal of a6000 compare to rx100. And good lens dont come cheap unless you looking for fixed focal primes like 35mm or 50mm which has ois. Otherwise rx100mk3 maybe a better alternative.

okay... so ur meaning is in terms of PQ, brightness, speed,...etc, APSC can match up with FF.
But FF photo can produced much better dof by using the same lens?

Actually i am considering both A6300 and A7ii now, since both has same price range.
Seems A6300 has better and newer feature, but sensor is not FF.... headache...
*
Before buying, maybe study a little the difference between apsc and FF, pros and cons before you make decision. There are plenty youtube video out there.

Well, thanks a lot bro. Now i finally understood the relation.
I found that even the both type of sensor does not affecting the DOF,
but when the aperture is fixed, and focus distance is limited,
shot by using different focal length of lens in order to get the same view on APSC and FF camera, did produce the different
DOF. I think thats the advantages that everybody talking about, right?
*
That is just one part of it. Apsc or smaller sensor has some advantages over FF as well aside from physical size.

huh, i thought larger sensor has more advantages than smaller sensor?
*
Apsc size sensor allows for better AF burst shots than FF cause the shutter is easier to design which is why a6300, 7dmk2 and d500 are apsc size are preferred over FF for sports.

Secondly, because of higher megapixel cramp into smaller sensor, apsc is better than ff with same mp when taking wildlife pic at distance. Also cause of crop it offer more tele zoom without compromising sharpness.

Third, opposite of bokeh, smaller sensor allows wider dof so you can capture more stuff in focus while maintaining bigger aperture.

And of course the size and cheaper lens option comes into play.

Thats why dont always just think bigger is better but also what you want to do with your cam.

Lenses for APSC sensor generally cost a lot less than for a FF sensor. There's also the weight and size difference.
*
Lens cost is debatable depending on the category. Canon EF 50mm 1.8 for FF only RM500+ (or cheaper), whereas sony's equiv. focal lens, either 35mm 1.8 or 30mm 1.4 by sigma cost RM1000+ (even with discount). Same can be said with m43 lens.

Yea' if you're looking for superbokehlicious then get sigma 30mm 1.4 for apsc. biggrin.gif
*
Still won't beat FF lens though. f1.4 x 1.6 crop factor = f2.24 <--doesn't translate to amount of light but bokeh equivalent when fov is the same, still lose out to 50mm f1.8 FF (discounting the bokeh look). But close enough. You won't see many f1.4 lens on the cheap.

Hmm, is a6300 the new replacement to a6000? It is almost double the price of a6000. Will there be a cheaper upgrade coming soon?
*
Maybe, maybe not. Who knows? The earthquake already pushes back several new camera back so don't hope for it.

a6000 is plenty good enough unless you really need the 4k video on a6300. Besides, I imagine the true successor to a6000 won't be cheaper than the current model. Unless Sony decide to make silly decision and introduce a6100 or a6200.

Guyyysssss 28mm f2 any good?

I want to buy either the 24-70mm f4 or the 28mm f2.

Any suggestions?

I'm quite annoyed with the manual focusing now. Did 3 different shoots and only in post production I realize it's ever so slightly not in focus lol

Maybe I'd pick up a gimbal too. hmm.gif
*
Overall go for 24-70mm f4. If you find yourself shooting more at night without tripod, go for 28mm f2.
