QUOTE(Eccentrical @ May 7 2016, 01:28 PM) So I brought the A6300 camera to a studio photoshoot where aperture wont matter much, and compare it with my Canon gear at the same time. Although the color profile is rather flat, but the sharpness makes slight post editing just nice. So yeah, the camera just need a better lens. Faith in Sony intensifies. Shot using the Sony PZ 16-50mm f3.5-5.6 OSS kit lens. It's always well known that the 1650 kit lens is the bottleneck to the camera body. Whether A6000 or A6300. But it's also the most versatile one. Just depends on which side you are. Versatility vs quality/price. On 1650, I never really get tad sharp portrait shots as in normal condition would have to bump the I so up quite high already. All the details are gone ie. Eye lashes eye brow hairs etc. Then I got the 50f18. Not really a lens known for its sharpness but already put you miles ahead of the kit lens my complaint with the lens... If only the MFD is much shorter. Short like the 24F18z then it'll be real nice. Also the purple fringing is quite horrible if shot direct into the light ie. Shooting leaves with the Sun dead right on above

I'm also aiming for that lens now.

I'm also aiming for that lens now. I mean MFD for the 50F1.8. The 1650 has decent MFD and can get closer up if you go between 29mm ~ 34mm. 50F18 MFD is more than that of 1650. Gotttt but cannot share Coz all friends/family not so good to share.
Hmm... Maybe this shot of a random boy on the street. But there's some misfocus. Focus not on his eyes. Everything is moving 50mm F1.8 shot at 1/160s ISO 500 F1.8 on Sony A6000 AF-C (Out-of-camera JPEG) Btw... Look at the purple fringing on the fan This post has been edited by IwanAGP: May 7 2016, 02:45 PM

Been looking to upgrade from the nex6 to the a6000.. This looks like the same quality as what I'd get from my nex6.. But its not super sharp eh... The sigma 30 2.8 seems sharper.

Hi Sifus anyone owned the new Sigma 30mm f/1.4 Emount yet? I'm unsure of getting it or the Sony 35mm f/1.8 OSS. Anyone would like to commend on it??

Today I play with A6300...feel more heavy than A6000...But I think its better to get A7 series better.

Normally at Laban Rata, temperate around 5~16 degree Celsius. At Low's Peak(highest peak) around -1~6 degree Celsius. Last time i was using Canon DSLR(entry level) up at the peak, still working.

QUOTE(tenchi0205 @ May 10 2016, 02:10 PM) its can tahan the freezing temperature? no light tripod...and Oct seem cant get milky way shot anymore... Internal condensation is more a problem under those circumstances... and also battery life (though normal low temps don't really effect the battery as much as real sub-zero temps). Brought my A6000 up ski resorts in the middle of a Hokkaido winter asso no real problems really. So yeah, it can tahan for sure. As for light tripods, check out the Tamrac Zipshot (or similar clones) for the lightest of them all. Yeah it's not really a "proper" tripod but for mirrorless it's more than enough really (unless you're shooting in windy situations... in which case you might need to tie it to some weights or something).
