Coquelin-Flamini partnership - while Coq is solid, Flamini is just a DM with CB traits. He is slow, can't hold the ball as good as Santi and he isn't creative player. With Santi playing too upfront as CAM, behind Giroud, our frontlines might struggle to get the good services from those 2 DMs. Swansea will surely put pressing game to our midfielders. If he not good enough to hold the ball he might lose it infront of our back 4 which is going to be exposed.
I think his form will continue like nowadays bcoz Debuchy's mind already set leaving out Emirates.
And i won't put non-pacey, out of form RB against pacey and tricky Montero. W/o good form, he gonna be slaughtered by Montero.
Unfortunately that is the best we have IMO without compromising both defense and attack.
Coquelin's distribution has sort of been something not too many people have noticed but its been some sort of a highlight of late for me, those deep accurate long balls and crisp forward passes, add that with Coquelin's energy he can be our box to box man, in attack go up alongside or slightly behind Santi and in defense drop back down level with Flamini in DM. Santi should be fine as AM if Alexis and Ozil can provide him with the movement to spray his passes.
The thing is with a trio of Coq/Santi/Campbell, this looks too lightweight for my liking. Ki, Sigurdsson and Shelvey will batter them physically.
Plus having Flamini over Campbell is that we all know how fired up Flamini can be in big games. He may be past it but if its a big game, you can count on him to raise his game.
Case in point, Spuds in the Carling Cup.
