Although some might say SPS is good in township planning or whatsoever they might be good at, at the end of the day I believe that what a purchaser need is a place where they can live comfortably.
For landscape or anything else outside from home I will take it as secondary and rectification can be done later and these are easier to be done in the sense that it doesnt or has minor effect to tenants.
For a house, we couldn't deny to the fact that none of the house are perfect and there must be some defects but look, if its minor it can be rectified but those major issue like leakage and other major issues which can be prevented earlier by taking preemptive measurement, why not they do checking regularly to avoid current issues?
These proves that SPS did not act due diligence and perhaps they became arrogant when they know the fact that their houses can be easily sold?
This is the first time i bought a house from SPS and i learned that they actually quite responsive in rectifying from all taikors here but again, we look at the hassles we need to go through when there are major or minor defects. What about the real problem only surfaced after 4 years?
just a thought
Prevention is always better than cureĀ

Agree with you that the workmanship of SPS just moderate/average, definitely not in the top notch level. It is a must for SP Setia to upgrade their QC/QA quality if they want to keep on as the key player in this industry.
Nevertheless, from my personal experience, it seems like they respond fast on the rectification work. Anyhow, I presume even there is only minor defects currently, it doesn't guarantee there will be no additional defects surface after 4 years as well.
Nonetheless, I fully agree with you that they should make sure everything correct at the first place, rather doing the remedy action afterwards. This is why SP Setia should pay a serious attention on the QA / QC practice starting from now.
If you are worried about the defects, perhaps you can consider these (as extracted from the FB).
" 1.) Talk to SPS and request the site supervisor / site engineer to go to the unit together with the owner. Request them to explain the root cause of the problems and what kind of rectification works that shall be conducted to address it.
2.) If owner wants to bring in own consultant to advise about the rectification work together with the SP Setia site supervisor or engineer, can inform SP Setia in advance as well. They will try to arrange and accommodate such request. "
As for the landscape and infra, personally I would consider it is very important too. Defects we still can request rectification or perform renovation. Nonetheless, if landscape and infra is not there in the first place, it will be super difficult to have it in future, as the fund cannot be supported by one single individual.
